For our fox squirrels, you need to steam, pressure cook, or crockpot them for a while to tenderize the meat, then fry to brown. Then you won't believe what you have! Grays can be pan fried like chicken. Good bit of information there. Thank you. I still have the torso portions of the squirrels to cook which will either get smoked or done in the crock pot. Watch doing the torso section in the crockpot for too long. Each tiny vertebrae section will separate and it is hard to get them all out. Like mentioned, pressure cook for 20-30 minutes and then fry. Good and tender and the gravy is second to none!

I remember them back late 80s or early 90s. They were cutting edge then and top quality. Can't remember why they disappeared but it seems like there was a connection between them and Knight ML? Been awhile so memory is a little foggy.

If it tastes as good as it looks you should be happy!

Thoughts on the halftime show? Didn't watch it but what's up with the 84 Lumber commercial?

The Deer Classic at the fairgrounds is later this month. They will score it but I think there is a small fee?

Some of the things on clearance at the Greenwood ST135 Walmart are butchering items. Meat grinder, burger bags and sealing machines, freezer paper and other items. Can't remember prices but pretty cheap.

I have an older Ruger Standard semi auto and two of the newer MKII target pistols with the bull barrels, A little Ruger Bearcat single action, a Ruger Single Six with both 22LR and Magnum cylinders, an old High Standard double action (old beater trapping pistol), and a Jam O Matic semi auto Jennings that is pretty well worthless, I got it in a trade for a junk chainsaw, and last a Colt peacemaker 22. That's about it for the 22's I have. I can recommend them all but the cheap Jennings. I don't know what they cost now days, but I got all of these under your price several years ago. I doubt you can get any of these new in your price range but the Jennings now and I would not even think of buying one of those . You probably can find some used ones for a deal if you look for them. I agree with the Jennings. The only round that mine will shoot reliably are CCI Stingers. I believe they are a little stronger so it will work that slide enough. Still wouldn't recommend it. My choice is the Ruger Single Six if a revolver is what you want.

Buying an LTL was the best investment I ever made aside from the ring I put on my wife's finger. Good answer and I agree!

The wife got the dreaded AARP letter in the mail today. She was not happy! Got stuff from them when I was still in my twenties! Maybe we were wrong. I always thought they started sending you stuff once you reached 50?

She has always had a problem with growing older. I got a yard card for her 40th and I learned to never do that again. Probably doesn't help that she is a year older than me.

I wish I could've turkey hunted with my dad, we did everything together till his health declined. Don't wait too long. I don't get to hunt with my boys much anymore and I miss that too. I agree. I miss those times with my Dad.
