I found the nitecore HC30 headlamp does not cause much glare on my glasses. I think it's the angle the light comes out at. Great headlamp if anyone is looking for one. I like what I see so far and I'll search some reviews later. Do you have to cycle through all of the "modes" to turn the light off? For instance, if I am on "medium light mode" do I need to walk through the next higher modes to switch the light off? Or is there a way to shut the light off from any mode? And, did you find anything you did not like about this headlamp? NO you hold the button down to shut it off. Nothing so far, it's not cheap but it lasts a long time, is as dim to bright and I need and then some, and comes with the charger for the unique battery design. Overall it's very light, well made, and much brighter (important if following a blood trail in dark) at the high end than any I have seen before. The band is comfortable too, which makes a difference when you have a long walk in or out in the dark It will blow away conventional big box store type headlamps....

What is the concern over the volunteer corn? Simple competition with the brassicas or another reason? Pictures? did not get any pics. Just competition really. Good point about it being an attract or for the deer also. I will just leave it I suppose.

anybody have a recommendation for a herbicide which will do this without damaging the brassica? Something grass/corn specific?

we have done well on the ridges in area 7. Some all the way west near the fence separating the property from Cordy Sweetwater lakes. Find a good logging road and walk it to a saddle and setup there has been our strategy goo.gl/maps/KWzE4nn1hV82

I don't hunt there but used too. Never seen a public property so over run with hunters. This was October and mid week.

It gets hammered. There are deer there but you will have company. Even during archery? YES

Sharpen your knife at home. Wear your ball cap, get one with the light in the bill. Lick your fingers if they need it, wet wipes are for the baby's butt. Yes, most of that stuff could stay at the truck. Get away from the mindset you have to carry it ALL in and only carry in what fits in pockets. It really simplifies things and lets you hunt more mobile. Big deal if you are hunting large tracts of public land.

I have an Excalibur Ibex, no longer available with the aluminum riser. Bought it used a couple of years ago. No problems with it. Have even accidentally dry fired in a few times, other than throwing a string, no ill effects. I love the recurve Vs the compound. same here. I had one years before they did the videos but I thought these were pretty cool. Check out the 'no strings attached' one. No way someone is doing this with a compound unless they have a compatible bow press at home. www.excaliburcrossbow.com/destruction-challenge/

I have a Stryker solution that I really like but bowtech's customer service is known to be sketchy. If I was in the market for a new bow, and $ was no option, id look hard at the new ravin crossbows. Was checking them out at the local archery shop and they really are the most advanced and feature rich xbows on the market. That being said ten point also make some great bows they seem heavy and hard to work on. They don't seem to have much a dealer network either. fact and narrow though
