Folks, I need some help.
I got drawn for back to back days to hunt Atterbury this year (gun then muzzleloader) and I am clueless about the place. I have hunted it once, several years ago, and never saw a deer. I've been in there dozens of times when I read gas meters for a living, but they won't let me hunt the campground where I always saw deer.
If anybody has any rough suggestions as to what areas or areas I should try to get into I would greatly appreciate it.

we have done well on the ridges in area 7. Some all the way west near the fence separating the property from Cordy Sweetwater lakes. Find a good logging road and walk it to a saddle and setup there has been our strategy goo.gl/maps/KWzE4nn1hV82

Living in Nineveh for a good long time and my parents living in the lakes there are definitely quite a few deer, with some good bucks, along that western edge. Also always see deer on that eastern edge so that is why I mentioned that as well. I killed an 8 pt and a doe at some areas in the middle, but I can't remember the exact areas for the life of me.

the big ones always seem to run into the Impact Area too!
If you get in on the Colonels hunt...then you might score big. loved finding gut piles from the "day before" when the brass and their guests got to hunt! =)
Cool place to hunt. Follow the rules to the T.
Hunt all day and you might get something, or see nothing. I have seen some giants in there.
Great scenery on the south end of post and a privilege to hunt there.

The one time I was there I was right next to the impact area. Found lots of cool "stuff" but didn't see a deer. I'm hoping hunting back to back days will be beneficial.

When I was in the ING some 50 years ago we used to see lots of deer every time we went to the firing range.
