Definitely hurt early hunting in my area. Saw first farmer running beans today and yet to see any corn being taken. Harvest at least 2 maybe 3 weeks behind in south eastern Indiana.

They are harvesting corn all over the place down here in the SW corner. The 80 acres bordering me have been harvested! HOORAY!

With the spring rain we had I think things are going well. I have two corn fields near me that one is harvested and the other is solid green.
Hunting might actually be hunting this year.

It's about 50/50 around me, about half is already harvested or ready to be, the other half still green and yellow and needs a while yet.

The beans at my one property are just now beginning to turn...I may actually hunt this Sunday over a corner in hopes of them seeking those last green bean leaves of the year.

My main hunting area in perry county, corn does not get combined till Christmas. Same with beans every other year. Keeps the deer close looking for food late season.

It seems early harvest compared to the last couple years to me, I've seen more corn coming down then the beans between New Pal and bloomfield.
Anyone passing through Owen and Putnam able to report? Those boys best be taking it down, lol.

I’ve only seen them harvesting beans in my area (Huntington county). I drive daily to the Elkhart area and it’s the same during that drive as well. The corn is changing from green to brown, but the ears haven’t dropped yet. I’d guess the corn around me will get harvested mid to late October .

Nothing has been touched here in Wayne County. Ears are dropping and beans are green to yellow. It'll be a couple of weeks to a month.

Yeah, most of the beans around me are out or coming out right now. There is even one corn field out! (which really surprises me). Funny you posted this thread as was thinking last night how it seems early this year.

The corn is coming down around here before the beans because it has to. We have been so dry the last couple months that the stocks are brittle and falling over. I've seen farmers getting it out before its ready and running it through their driers to get it before it falls over. The biggest concern right now is a big storm and/or high winds laying entire fields over.
On the flip side, with the corn in that state it means there will be lots of waste grain let over.

The corn anyone sees being taken out now is for sileage. Grain corn will nit be touched for another 2-3 weeks at least. Beans are being harvested everywhere due to the hot n dry last few weeks.

Drive into work this morning I saw 1 bean field harvested and ZERO corn. That's in Switzerland and Ripley counties. Most of corn is not even close to being ready while much of beans look ready or close to being to harvest.

I'd say right on schedule here in north central part of state. Dry weather is allowing them to stay right after it and get a lot done. I think they will finish a little ahead of schedule.

Most of the beans and corn around here aren't ready. There's been a few bean fields harvested this week on my road but most fields haven't turned completely. I've only noticed 1 corn field ready too, most still have some green on them. It's a little early here though anyway, most years they don't start until sometime in Oct. Shoot some years I wonder if they'll harvest the place I hunt by firearms season,it's been real close some years.
