WOW, we need the fur market to return. We used to hit them hard but you can't give the pelts away now

Mandatory sentences would likely not deter most of these mass shooters who go on a suicide mission. Most don't plan to leave the scene alive.
We have a gun access AND a mental health problem.

wow that's terrible, wonder what happened and if more info will be released. A shot at decoy setup or an movement/sound. Failure to properly identify target either way though.
MMSF always gave me the heebie-jeebies when I hunted there. WAY too many people between all the hunters, mushroom hunters, horse riders, and hikers. Population has only increased in the area since then too.

I have used the martins permethrin 10% too and mixed my own in the past. It's about $20 for the 32 ounce bottle online now. The IS process bonds it to the clothing for the life of the clothing though, the US military treats their uniforms this method
mixing and spraying your own works too as long as you remember to do it

Day one of youth season 2023 we were hunting an old surface coal mine property had a bird at 55yds right off the roost pop his head in the field to take a closer look. He stayed well out of range of the .410 with 9.5 shot TSS my 12 year old son Malachi was hunting with though and the bird eventually hung up and then drifted off. The bird saw the jake decoy and would come no closer. Day two broke with high expectations and low temps. We had moved the blind slightly based on day one activity. We had some birds on all sides of us who gobbled early then went quiet after fly down. One circled us and closed the distance to within 75 yds or so in thick woods behind us then hung up then went silent. About 930 he fired back up and gobbled on an off for 45 min or so. I caught a glimpse of a hen entering the field to our rear and left. I then spotted the trailing gobbler just enter the field at full strut. My son is a lefty and the blind is setup to shoot to his strong side (right). We had to a do a quick reposition in the blind, spin around, drop the rear windows after closing the front ones. The gobbler stayed in full strut and turned away giving us the time we needed to get ready, Malachi setup the .410 on the shooting stick and got ready for the shot to present itself. Malachi finally had a clear shot and let him have it at 35 yds. High fives and hugs followed! A day neither of us will ever forget!

I picked up this recipe at an IN DNR wild turkey cleaning course a couple years ago. The celery on the bottom is key to prevent burning of the meat o n the bottom of the dutch oven.
Ingredients: >wild turkey breast meat cut into 1" cubes >celery 4-6 stalks, chopped fine >swanson chicken broth, 1 box >uncle ben's rice 1 bag >canola oil
Directions: -start charcoal as usual -brown turkey breast meat in some canola oil on dutch oven over hot fire -chop celery and cover bottom of dutch oven -add broth, meat, rice -cover and add coals to top of dutch oven lid -cook for 1-4 hours over low to medium heat with coals above and below
It is awesome when cooked in a dutch oven over a campfire!
