Being that he died due to complications following a bout of pneumonia, and he was a retired 4 Star General, he most likely was receiving care in a military hospital, was it his age [only 78] that did him in, or poor care received. Gotta' wonder about these kind of things once in a while.

Having witnessed both the '77 and '78 "blizzards", I am able to note a huge difference in those dates and the recent snow fall. The two aforementioned were "dry" snows, and the one of late was a wet snow. Wet snows don't drift for 'chit. '78 saw 10 and 12 foot drifts in places, and bare crop fields that supplied the drifts, and along with -20 temps, winds that put the chill factor at -60 is the number one reason that quail are a rare sight in many parts of this state. That bit of snow fall the other day was nothing but a minor inconvenience.

Life member for many years. It takes a whole lot of money, outside of your yearly dues, to fight the likes of the Kenyan, Finstein, Boxer, Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, Kerry, the Kennedy's, and a whole lot of other dirt bags. You can opt out of the phone calls, mailings if you want, but to not be a member because of that is an extremely poor excuse at it's very best.

For what those things cost, send them back for repair.

Brave or crazy. I would not hold it against him if he went straight to a bar for a few belts after that encounter.

Two does, one button buck, one female fawn, and a 10 point buck down in Throbak's stomping grounds and the landowner stated that "there is five deer that won't be bothering me any more." Before I decided to go home, I went out on my last morning and watched 3 bucks walk by, two 8's and a 10. Here's hoping for no more drought, and a lowering of the "8" counties.

Well put Woody. I was associated with the ISR before it was the ISR and stayed with it for many a year, then it was "put in hibernation" for a short period to due to reorganization so it could combined with the IWF due to the "lobbyist" rules. At first I didn't understand all of this legal mumbo jumbo, so I sat down with the late Dick Merceir and flat asked him WTH was going on. He explained in the Dick Merceir way, and then I understood, and that the original philosophy of the ISR would be continued. After attending one meeting of the ISR, I came to realize that was not the case, and if Dick knew was going on, he would roll over in his grave. Since then I attended one more get together that focused on Proposition One, and with John Goss at the wheel I knew what the hand writing on the wall was all about. Since then I have distanced myself from the ISR and have told various DNR people of that and why, and was told that they see my point. In short, to paraphrase the late Ronald Reagan, "I did not leave the ISR, the ISR left me."

Shall the chosen few reveal their hidden agenda soon, or shall we wait in anticipation of their edict?

This^ with the exception that I took three does, a button buck, and a ten point buck during this years firearms season.
