I've got leupolds on just about everything I own. On two of them, the dial which increases magnification power is real tight and tough to turn. They have a allen screw in the side of that adjustment ring, but loosening it doesn't help.
Any ideas on this? They work fine, but zooming to higher or lower power is just real tough.

For what those things cost, send them back for repair.

There is a seal in there that can get worn or torn making them tough to turn. I would send them back, Leupold Warranty shop does a good job.

Just a thought - but could it be that the rings are so tight that they are putting pressure on the scope's internals? I saw or read somewhere that the amount of torque recommended for scope rings is not all that much, and most guys overtighten.
