I troll a lot. 1st cast may happen to last all day!
I know it is going to be good if I am reeling in fish before all lines are set.

Not in the woods but on the water, Hudson Lake.
Bass fishing weeknight on a lake in Northern Indiana out of a canoe. We were catching nice bass but a ski boat decided we looked like a great pylon, until my brother in law tossed a 2.5 pound bass like a hand grenade landing a few feet from the skier.
They docked and we figured we could enjoy the last 20 min before dark. About then a jet ski from opposite side of the lake is running right at us. We were fishing a weed edge pretty close to the shore. I heard my brother yell hold on! I got as low as I could and braced for a t-bone. She swerved with maybe 10 ft to spare. Figured we were toast. As she sped away my pole started to go crazy. Set the hook only to realized her joy sucked up my line and spooled me.
Needless to say we paddled home

It will change the world. As it grows and adapts/learns morphs into a bigger network of reasoning I can't imagine we can predict how far it takes us.
Saw where someone used it to write code. Had errors at first and proceeded to fixed them until it was error free. Pretty impressive

So Texas would be losing dollars from the Federal Government to fund the following programs (and I'm sure there are more)... Social Security. Medicare/Medicaid. Education dollars. Infrastructure dollars. Disaster Aid. Border control dollars. Not to mention plenty of other dollars that end up in Texas (and every other state) from the Feds Like... Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), including Pass through Child Support. General Assistance (GA). Social security (self and on behalf of a dependent child). Department of Veterans' Affairs benefits (except Veteran's pension). Unemployment insurance compensation. Workers' compensation. Another point that is being left out...Texas is home to 15 active duty military installations with an economic impact of over $100 billion that would be gone. And finally...what will the currency be? Texas currency? And if it's new Texas currency what collateral will be used to back it up? Or will it be like Crypto currency? This sounds like a kid telling his parents he's moving out on his own because he doesn't like the rules, yet comes back begging for cash or asking Mommy and Daddy if he can come home... Whoa...never let facts get in the way of a good story....well a story. He quit one marathon thread of nostradamous style vague predictions to now predictions of states leaving the US. His YouTube algorithm must have shifted a bit.

I dumped my old cabellas card pretty soon after they merged with bps. I went with chase travel card. The rewards add up faster than the cabellas card did and I use it for vacation. Until airline tix increased we would get travel and lodging or car rental paid for.
I can also use the rewards to shop or pay towards a bill if needed.
Been a while since I checked if there are better rewards out there. Too much competition to deal with hassles!

I didn’t get a survey this year. Is it only being sent to license purchasers. I’m a landowner but I didn’t kill any this year. Yeah that is excessive. They should use same formula as they did back in the day. 20x the cost of annual license. They will immediately get extra funds. To the hunters it also has to make financial sense. 40 yrs is a long time to pay for tags. In reality I don't care as it won't impact me but I think it should be reasonable. 20x a bundle plus a turkey tag feels reasonable. The population that buy one of these tags will balance out. Sure, a few will live and hunt well past the return on investment but some will die, move, quit etc before that point too. The state used the old ltl funds to buy goose pond. That was a huge success so I would think it is a win win to bring them back. My guess is they announce a significant license fee increase and makes the increase cost of the ltl more appealing.

They sure are....and have a great tradition there. The Norman girl is going to Butler and Spreen has yet to commit, would be nice if Moren could get her to IU. I agree. She is highly recruited and IU is showing they are more competitive than ever. But first....she has to win state and compete next year.

Congratulations to the Braves for an outstanding season and to the Duff's Stars as they'll play Fishers for the state championship next Saturday! Should be another amazing atmosphere for the Lady Hoosiers as they tackle the Boilers today. Game has been sold out for over a couple of weeks. The bnl girls are a great team. The coach has been putting good seasons together for a long time. I heard one senior is going to Butler to play. A Jr has been getting recruited for a while, not sure I heard if she has committed anywhere yet. In past 10 yrs he has had girls go to IU, PU and MSU. Not sure how Bedford pulls this off year over year but I have known of the current set of girls for a while as they are same age of my kids. They are from here so not recruited!

My favorite is Bonges Tavern in Perkinsville (just south of Elwood). Honestly the best food in Indiana and it's doesn't steal your wallet. It's in an old tavern / general store / post office. Neat place. Grew up as a river rat just upstream of perkinsville. My elementary school was just outside of the town. Spent many days playing around that bar and along the river.. Good food these days but hard for me to go back and not think of it as it was in the 80s and early 90s. A rough bar or closed. Besides all the fancy lads coming in and talking about my people! Lol...maybe late 90s when they re-opened. We would go after the kitchen closed and drink beer with the staff. They would drop the price of beer to normal cost. It was a blast but eventually they closed that too. Glad they have succeeded there.

Dang...sorry to read her troubles. I have no idea but think I would have to discuss with docs and maybe get second opinions from other docs that have experienced patients in similar conditions.

Be careful of the saltwater catfish. They carry the same toxins that stingrays have. I spent an afternoon in the ER. Got stuck in the hand and in less than a half hour my arm was numb up to my shoulder. If they do get you, soak your hand in hot water as hot as you can stand. The heat will neutralize the toxins. That lesson cost me $1900.00 in the form the hospital bill. The catfish are quite tasty though. 😁 My wife got stung by a ray several yrs ago. We would boil a pot of water and soak her foot. It would knock the pain down. She is tough and was in severe pain. Our son offered to pee on her foot. He was probably 7 or 8 and had heard the cure for a jelly fish sting. Lol at least we got to laugh at that.

Beach or piers just bring your normal catfish rods/reels for bottom fishing and a mid weight spinning for casting.
I like to catch my bait so either cut bait, sand fleas or bust up snails. Spoons for casting and sabiki rigs for bait.
I have caught snook, redfish, sheepshead, pompano, shark, rays and whiting. But always without fail my 1st day I will catch those dang catfish...
If eating the rays are good as well as the catfish despite what others say. Never ate the reddish or snook but only because they were too big for the slot

Heck of a come back. 21 points down at one time. Came back and tied it and lost on a last second shot. Watched the winning shot by Boo and he did push off on Kopp. I'm sure the ref swallowed the whistle on that play.. I almost went to bed at the half.. Same. Glad I watched it. Frustrated with a 2 point L after giving them 4 on a double T. Lots of missed free throws...a nearly 8 min stretch without scoring....oh well. Northwestern is playing good ball and road games are really hard to win. I liked the second half effort for sure
