I’m sick of Capital One it’s is a Cabelas card been a customer for probably 30 years they sold out been a down hill slide ever since I started with them because of the points use to be one of my favorite stores and I spent a good share of my fishing hunting budget with them
Bit of background I pay my bill off every month I always have my payment in on time be it TV Electric Heating Most generally every Sunday I pay bills clean house shop do laundry been that way for years.
They keep telling me my payments are late and hit me with a 40 dollar late fee interest and the whole nine yards
This is the only company/ bill I have doing it someway somehow those other bills seem to be on time beats me but I’ve had enough of them so Who do you use and why I don’t care about interest rate that much like I said I pay it off every month I only charge a few hundred a month I’m looking more for benefits

I dumped my old cabellas card pretty soon after they merged with bps. I went with chase travel card. The rewards add up faster than the cabellas card did and I use it for vacation. Until airline tix increased we would get travel and lodging or car rental paid for.
I can also use the rewards to shop or pay towards a bill if needed.
Been a while since I checked if there are better rewards out there. Too much competition to deal with hassles!

I agree 100%, Capital One is awful. I would be in the same camp as Duff, but the points are the only thing I get from my wife and kids' spending habits. I get the points and am guaranteed that I am the only one that will benefit. Pre-takeover, the customer service from Cabelas for cardholders was impeccable, in my opinion at least. It now is about the worst.
Cabelas has gone downhill fast since the takeover. I don't even bother going the the store anymore since BPS is half the drive for me. I'd shop somewhere else if there was a better local option. I hope the hedge fund clown that orchestrated the takeover experiences many misfortunes in life. Just do some research if you aren't aware of the pain he caused Sydney NE.

The only reason I have that card is I got points at the store even though the price wasn’t always the best the quality of product and people were at the top. I’d drive to Dundee two or three times a year and shop wait by the mailbox on the new catalogs now it’s full of stuff I’d get at Walmart. I realize they have nothing in on the credit card but both have went south. I just like having a card to travel with and do use it enough also for shopping gas don’t like carrying that much cash with me

The CC that I use is from Chase, and I probably bank around $1,000 worth of points a year.

We have a Chase Freedom card that pays cash back on our purchases. We usually cash it in before we head on vacation in the fall!! No complaints at all!!

We use a hotel card. Get a lot of free hotel stays and we upgrade due to platinum status. We like to travel at least once or twice a month. Free breakfast and coffee.

I've got two credit cards.
VISA with my credit union and a MasterCard with Sam's. The VISA doesn't have too great a rewards program but the MC does pretty good. The only caveat with the MC is that they pay in "Sam's Bucks". I have to spend them at Sam's or Walmart. That is usually not a big problem.
I got $230 back last year in Sam's Bucks.
It pays..
5% on all gas purchases - anywhere
3% on Sam's Club purchases
3% on dining and take out
1% on all other purchases.
