Good Lord. Please quit screwing around and just pop these beasts! Showing off like this is getting really old, buddy. 😉 Growing them is easier, than killimg them. Like us they get smarter with age as well. LOL... HOPEFULLY will get a opportunity?? Definitely have plenty to dream about.

I haven't hardly had the time to really even think much about whitetails yet. I know I still have plenty of time but, that time will be going by fast I'm sure.

I have all my stands checked and up. My brother helped me a lot. So no more in the woods until late October.

I had been meaning to try some mock scrapes in front of my stands, so I finally went out and put up 6 this evening. Hopefully they get some use.
Buckwheat is doing mediocre. No rain for several weeks after broadcasting didn't help any. Some spots are OK, some are completely bare.

Beneficial rains this a.m.. Just shy of 1/2" rain fell here in Switz. Co. with more chances this week. Extended forecast for August shows above avg. rainfall for a change.

"Moose" is alive and well. 1st pic 2022- 2nd 2021. Spends most of time on my neighbor but ventures over to my place from time to time. Such a cool and unique buck, whomever bags him will be a very happy hunter. Mass, mass, mass.

When the rut hits and his neck swells up, he ought to look like a bodybuilder holding up that mess. Yowzers!!! Hope you get him!

When the rut hits and his neck swells up, he ought to look like a bodybuilder holding up that mess. Yowzers!!! Hope you get him! I have never seen anything like him. LOL. And he is just a 4.5 year old.... Neighbor passed him last year, but don't see anyone passing him this year...

Wow. Only 4.5…….. Imagine next year…. But hey if there is only a slight chance of killing him and he wanders in front of you……I know what I would do.

Does he have a third main beam growing off the inside of the left one? Almost looks like about a 9" beam growing straight out from his forehead under that left beam

Best of luck with him!! That's a buck dreams are made of, don't see anyone giving him a pass this year. One of the most impressive ones I've seen trail cam pics of on the two forums I follow

I spent most of the evening outside tonight. I cut access trails through the brush and briars into three of my stands, which should improve my access in and out quite a bit.
I also checked some trail cams, most of the mock scrapes I put up have does and young bucks sniffing and checking them out. No serious scrape action yet, as expected of course, but at least the deer have found them.

I got my exercise in again tonight. I wallered one of my quad pod stands about 500 yards up and down the hills from the woods to my food plot. There is about a 15 yard wide strip of brush and small trees on the east side of the plot, and it is along the backside of that strip that I cut my trail in last night. Today, I set the quad pod in the middle of that strip and cut a couple shooting lanes out into the food plot. I can see most of the plot from that stand now, and should have great access into there with my new trail. I can hunt that spot with a west wind or a south wind.
I'm hoping to do some shooting tomorrow before it gets too hot. I have a new crossbow to set up, and then will shoot the vertical bows. If I have time, I also need to verify zero on three rifles.
