There is already an outlet there. I'm running a new 220 service for the hot tub. I'll have a TV hookup for outdoor movies and football games. Hopefully Colts Bengals. I don't get Colts games where I live.

What’s your thinking on steps from the slider down to slab are you turning them sideways to run with the house I hadn't got that far in my mental blueprints yet. I hadn't thought about turning them. That might be a good idea. It’s hard to tell in the photos but it looks like a 36 or better drop if you built a small landing and then put steps out at 7 inch rise per step with 10 inch treads your going to be out on your pad always if you turned them you could get a 36 or so landing the down side is you’d have to rail the side that’s going to block a bit of your view from indoors. If you did turn it I’d inclose the side and put a small door or opening under it good place to store extra chairs and things that you may use on the patio but don’t want laying out all the time

I'll discuss it with the project manager and get her opinion.

You would not have to have a landing but if you are going to put a grill and table for eating it sure would be easier to have a place to stand while your trying to open the door with plates food cooler
Either way it looks like many good years of enjoyment will be had in your backyard

Awesome. I love progress. I think the careful site prep will pay dividends.

Whats the cost of concrete down there? $1162.56 for 6.5 yards delivered. Crazy , when I moved here my first summer in 2000 we were paying $65 per yard!

Curious, how would one transport concrete on their own? Without a mixer truck I didn't know there was anyway to get it anywhere?

If you mean just getting it from the truck to out of the way areas or ones with obstacles, you can use a concrete buggy to move it where it needs to go.

My yard is sloped and there was no way to get the truck back there. I don't know of any way to transport wet concrete on the road besides the mixer truck. You don't want it setting up. I have access to a small mixer. I'll probably buy a bunch of bags and do some small projects around the house myself.

I realize every time I post I’m spending your money and I do enjoy it BTW but if you can swing it I’d dig out along side of your garage to the back and lay another maybe10 or 12 foot wide area of stone did that at my house nice area to park trailers boats that don’t fit in garage due to height or length and they are out of the way of every day parking driving
Looks good sir you putting a new roof on your home or over patio area

That might be a future project. I have a covered spot for it at my dad's garage for now. The original plan for this summer was to build a big workshop with a lean to for my camper. Those funds were reallocated to the patio/hot tub so all of the family could enjoy it.

No I mean the price Scrub quoted was $xyz "delivered" my point is how else would you get the concrete to the jobsite if they didn't deliver it to you in a truck of their own?

Fill up the bed of the PU truck!! LOL Ha ha ha! That looks like a bunch of trips! Not to mention a bunch if material on the road to your job site. I like the pool liner in the back of the truck though, not redneck at all. 😄👍😂 I can imagine my wife telling me to get the heck out of the bed of the truck before anyone saw me!😁
