I got to use my plow setup with our recent snows. Works excellent. Only thing I dont like is it sticks too far out away from the back of the tractor. The swing is terrible and it's tough maneuvering around things like vehicles and buildings. Since I'm not using the hydraulics, I took off the cylinders and shortened the carriage by 18". I really like it now. I can still pivot it manually and pin it.

Checked trail cam and got this. Hard to beat shooting deer in the back yard. The guy on the back was willing to help drag it out. But just had to get it 30 yards out of the woods and onto a nice tractor path Maybe you could start a deer recovery company

Last year I just used my grader blade to move snow, but I just pulled it forward. Could reverse the blade and plow backwards I suppose.

Yeah, my neck already snaps, crackles, and pops from years of demolition derby and overall abuse. With a foot of snow already, I was able to do same and pull the blade. When I got a big pile started, I backed into it and pushed where I wanted it. My buddy mounted his to a quick attach plate and uses it on the loader end. He has front hydraulics so he can pivot it. My bucket is a pin on still. I may get to the point I rig it up to mount it to my bucket. I will use it as is for awhile first. We get enough snow that anything to make like easier is worth it.

Just curious, but I have a similar size tractor with a bucket. Why not just use the bucket? This way you aren’t cranking your neck behind, and can lift and pile snow as high as your reach?
Or, it seems like you’re no stranger to fabrication, make a snow pusher for your bucket with your blade? Again, not giving a hard time, just working ahead seems easier than working behind.

Valid point. But I watched the previous owner do as you said, since he was our neighbor and helped us a few times during a storm. The bucket was always packed full of snow, so the scooping part was out. He struggled trying to get anywhere and spent a lot of time trying. As said, I may get tired of it and rig up something on the bucket side eventually. Appreciate your input, thank you.

Your snow maybe two wet to do it but put a sheet of OSB on your bucket tilt it and push

Made some coin with the helping hand. Neighbor sold her place and needed the horse barn cleaned out pronto. As in, the new owners took possession the day prior and were PO'ed it wasn't done!!! She figured a trailer load of manure, so I said I'd take it home for fertilizer. HA! Small miscalculation. Try six trailer loads, and the new owners didnt want it left or dumped there. So, we put the ole grapple to work, and made it a lot easier than the first and only time last year we cleaned it out. I was able to scoop and skim, and grab most of it in clumps, so only a small amount of hand shoveling in the corners. I had 5 hours in it, and tractor ran for 4 hrs of it. Since it was a last minute, drop everything deal, and since I had to house the crap, I felt comfortable asking $500 for the job and she never even batted an eye. Couple bucks to go toward another attachment like a brush hog I'm lacking. Heck yeah. Good news is, by extending a hand to the new owners, we hit it off extremely well so far. I offered up any help we could give during their move, and they kinda reluctantly put us to work moving some things. They offered to pay for the help, and I laughed and said let's start out with a good will gesture and a solid handshake. They acted like we were from outer space. Lol. Said they weren't used to a free offer. That's sad that that's the norm nowadays, but hope we can build on a strong neighborly relationship. We got a nice introduction to their family and friends that were helping, and an invite to stop over for a meal once they get settled. A good start for all of us.

Cool beans! Offer to have them over for a meal and you might never get them to leave! Time will tell with the new neighbors here, the house isn't supposed to close until the end of the month. Swapping chicken feed helped, instead of 5-8 eggs/day it's up to 11-12. SO, I'll have some for ya the next time we get together.

The new neighbors hired me already! They had me level and grade the entire floor in the horse barn, and move some dirt around outside. Next they want the drive ways leveled off and filled in. They put in a request to brush hog some trails thru the pasture as well. I'm kinda liking this gig as it's just across the road. I'll have my extras paid for in no time flat at this rate.

Leave some in piles. Let me get the raised beds finished and I'll take a few loads off of your hands. You'll need sides on the trailer. LOL

My buddy turned me on to the Fakebook Marketplace, and turns out it's really a neat place. I can't t believe how much is on there, and new stuff constantly popping up. I'm going to look at and hopefully buy both a finishing mower and a brush hog today. Hope they are in as good of shape as the pictures and descriptions show! More to come.

I’m the same way. That’s the only reason I have a profile is to look at marketplace. Been looking lately for a car/tractor hauler. Mostly so I can pull the tractor and help family members out when needed. There’s about anything you want on there, but a lot of junk as well.

I can rent, for a day, roughly $70 to 85 depending on which one is available. I don't take my tractor off home base often enough to pay for the plates much less a trailer but I bet if I had it at my disposal I would take it more places. Besides I have a fleet of old vehicles. Be nice to have a trailer to haul them after a breakdown too.

With 5 vehicles on the road never know what will happen and when.

I drove an hour this morning to Vandalia, MI. Guy tells me, "oh I sold it yesterday. I told you I would update the post". I said "no, you told me I was the first bite, and then asked if I was serious, because 4 other guys already wanted it behind me". He said oops, misunderstanding. 😡😡😡 So, I knew there was a couple more in the area. I picked the next one I wanted, and messaged the guy. He responded, and 20min later I was in Stevensville, MI loading up the new mower. 72" Caroni finish mower. Already got her on the tractor and mowed the yard. It sure didnt take long! Then, my next stop was Crete, IL. I picked up this 6ft Land Pride brush hog. It needs a little TLC, but got it for $300, so zero complaints. The gear box, pto, blades, etc are all in great shape.
