Like I said Jay I hated spending money on my tractor till I used it then I hated not buy one sooner. Those 30 to 40 hp tractors are so handy and big enough to do just about everything you want I know you will be very happy with it

Very nice, looks like what I need. I bought a old 1950 8n this winter for mowing around my ponds, but I think your tractor would be a much handier tool.

Nice machine ! Word of caution - Those smaller tractors can tip over quite easily so use extreme caution on slopes, keep the bucket down low, etc. Wheel weights or fluid in tires helps a bunch.

For sure! My buddy has 2 tractors so I am versed in all the needed add ons to improve stability, ballast, traction, etc. I rarely take the lead on much. I have learned to sit back and let others do the leg work and spend money and test things before I jump. Thank you for the input. I rely on plenty of that for help from more experienced folks.

Yes, very handy with the loader, 4wd, and rear axle lock, and hydrostatic drive. Esshup has same setup, and I have got to use it many times. It's a perfect size for what I/we need. It will be easy to trailer around if needed for a snowstorm or work at a homestead. Not too big that it's a burden. Looks like around 2,400# as it sets without filled tires. I will be working on a 3rd function valve and grapple attachment on the future. 100% total game changer. Not so much a grapple bucket, but what they call a root rake. Basically wanting to pick up logs and cut firewood to load into truck, trailer, etc and eliminate so much bending down to help my back out. Its seen better days.

I got into tractors about 25 years ago. Now on my 3rd one and keep getting bigger an better each time. Started with a 26hp Deutz Allis, then a 65hp New Holland, currently using an 85hp Deere.
You can do a lot with forks and they don't require hydraulics; pick up big logs, rocks, brush, pallets, etc. A clamshell brush grapple bucket would be real handy for logs and brush. Stay away from the clamp on / chain on forks, they are a bit dangerous and can also bend your bucket.

Congratulations! That’s a good deal. And a great opportunity to teach yer young man how to operate the machine (or improve if he’s already learned).

As soon as you get the 3rd hydraulics figured out LMK, I will add them to mine. The thing that I found out with mine is that you HAVE TO HAVE some sort of rear weight if you are going to pick up much. That's why the box blade is on mine. I see that the rear tires are spread out as far as they will go, that's good. Lube the bolt that goes thru the axle holding them in place, and make sure the bolt is tight. I broke one of mine and I have to put it on the lift to get the tire off and pound out the broken bolt to replace it.
FYI, get a battery tender for it and add it, then keep it plugged in. The battery is a weird one, terminals are reversed, and they are expensive. Nobody has one in stock locally at least not at the price that I wanted to pay.
The only other thing that I will do to mine is weld a bar to the top rim of the bucket, and add hooks. One on each side and one in the center. You see how the top rim is bent already? I have that pad on the right side of mine but if something heavy is picked up it hikes up the LR tire. If the lifting hook was in the center it wouldn't do that.
I forgot. If you need to do any work to it and are puzzled, I have the factory service manual (different than the owners manual).

One of the handiest machines I picked up is a small New Holland L425 skidloader, it runs on gas. I use that little for everything. I would like to step up to something with auxiliary Hyd, would be nice to have a snowblower attachment.

The pin on buckets are flimsier than the new quick attach ones that have the reinforced plate. I will buy the quick attachment for the loader and the plate to rework the bucket to quick detach.

Fill back tires makes a huge difference in picking weight up and keep them on the ground your center of gravity is high on them at least the one I own is filling back tires made a huge difference mowing on hills. It also help when using the plow tiller keeps back tires from spinning. I had turf tires put on the day I bought it they traded me even up they do save on tearing up the yard and I don’t see a ton of difference between mine and dads in Performance he had ag tires almost same hp

I got all the filters and fluids today, and going to give her a 100% complete service and going over minus a valve adjustment. Starting with a fresh slate.

I bought one like that in 2013 or 14.
Best money spent. Handier than a shirt pocket

I have a B3030 that I bought new in 2008 I think. It has been the best deer hauler money can buy, I have about every implement a guy would ever need. I used it for several years to make a living with it putting in new lawns and coal mine reclamation. I have done nothing to it besides regular maintenance and one new battery. They are great machines. I built a 3 point hitch log splitter that I hook up to the front end loader controls that I use the most nowadays that and bush hogging the back 40
