Nah; I’m a little light for that, now if I was using my 416Rigby that would change things!!! Do you really have a .416? If so, what does that recoil feel like? I really do; it’s a good shove. Heavy but not sharp. I think the sharp recoiling rounds are worse. My biggest problem is the first round if I haven’t shot it in a while. I’ll hit high and then remember, oh yeah; you have to hold onto this one!

I could have had bazooka this morning and would not have made any difference! 😂

Marlin 94 in 44 mag. Topped off with a 1x5 Redfield scope. Feeding it Handloaded Hornady 240 grain XTP's. That's what I feed my Contender,I love those XTPs. Worked very well today. He made it about 15-20 yards.

I've never had to track 1 shot with those but I did have 1 that ran 75 yards, but being in the woods in a tree stand she never ran out of sight. Now I did learn back when I started using them that out of a handgun anyway, the 300g ones are too heavy for the velocity they need to penetrate well. The 240g seem to be just right. Oh and congrats.

Nice! Want to sell it? Lol Ha! No way dude lol I love this rifle and didn't pay much for it either. I fully understand. Like others have said about these guns, if I knew they were going to stop making them I would have bought a lot more of them.

I love carrying it in the woods. It's small and light and very accurate. I've been considering getting a tactical stock for it.
