Well I’m not giving away all their secrets, but if you have a boat and want to catch catfish. A little off the bank on the west side of four winds is a big hole that gets to about 40 feet deep. If you throw from the water towards the bank at that hole you are very likely to catch some nice channel cats. Use shrimp. One other secret. You have to troll from a 24 ft pontoon with a 115 horse on the back. Funny I got a nice cat from that exact spot 5 yes ago. Middle of summer and when filleted it the thing was packed full of bird seed. Weird for summertime

Got out yesterday, beautiful day on the water. Caught a mixed bag of bluegills and crappie. Picture of my fishing buddy and his 14" crappie.

schall; you need to tell your buddy not to hold fish like that it's bad for the fish, support them with two hands. All the way to the frying pan.

Been catching bluegills, they are spawning in my ponds during full moons. Caught one this morning just over a foot long, thought I had a striper on the line. Turned him loose, can’t bring myself to mount or fillet.

Built pond back in 98 and stocked in 99. I feed them every night and continue to stock fathead minnows every fall and spring. No idea how to post pics. Yes I have pics. Sorry just saw your post.

Went out for panfish Wednesday. Three of us caught 60 bluegills, crappie, and perch for our annual fish fry for our Wyoming friends this fall. Full gallon of fillets. This 18" bonus smallmouth was my last fish of the day. Caught it on a redworm laying on the bottom on ultra lite 4# line. What a fight, broke water 3 times. Released him to fight another day.

We ended the day at Monroe today with 7 crappie, 7 channel cats, and I caught my very first walleye. All those we kept. Threw back one largemouth and quite a few smaller crappie. It was a great day on the water.

We fished the Lie-A-Lot charter out of Ludington, Mi yesterday. It was an early morning bite, then somebody flipped the switch and they stopped. The previous day he went North and picked up 20 fish, dunno why he went South with us.

You guys were lucky, our group went three weeks ago on the 2 days following the last day of competition at the Ludington classic, we never made it past the break wall because of the rough seas. We fish aboard the "POLECAT" the captain owns Yeck lure company which manufactures a lot of the equipment used by salmon fisherman. I really enjoy fishing out of Ludington because you can go as far as you want without leaving Michigan waters.
