Late Antlerless is usually freezing. Which is why I avoid it (happily we haven't had a late season here for past 2 years) I understand the uneasiness with killing a doe that's bred, but at that point in the season most mature does are bred. Don't pick up a gun if you aren't comfortable with that chance or extremely hungry. Only reason I'd be hunting late season or any season for that matter. To eat. Seems that maybe your friend needs to remind himself why he's hunting. And no more late season that's fine, to each his own. But it doesn't change end result when you are shooting deer, early or late season, it takes that deer and any possible offspring out.
