I wonder if teams still try and prepare for the Colts piping in crowd noise .... or playing against guys who use PED's.
I kid ... I kid....

The piping in of noise was a bogus claim. The PED's...touché...
But, I would add, the Colt's players who tested positive paid their price. So will the QB for the Football Team from Massachusetts...unless he wriggles out of the noose. I don't see that happening. Perhaps a reduced suspension, but he will pay with pine time.

Bogus because CBS said it was a glitch .... but they had been accused before and in the court of public opinion Patriots fans still say the did it.
They did pay their price and you defended at least one of them .... rather vehemently. Defended a cheater .... my gosh.

I defended his reason for taking those drugs. Never said he didn't deserve to pay the price, he broke a rule. I think he had a great reason for doing so,,.and a child to prove it...but he broke a rule, owned up to it, and paid the price.

The Indy footballs were found to be within the confines of what could be expected to occur with normal atmospheric deflation. The other team's balls were deflated to a point where that was deemed to be a highly unlikely to be naturally caused. Not to mention all the other evidence of shenanigans. I'm not really sure why I know that and others don't. I guess I listen to a lot more sports radio than most, Whatever the media wants to say.. this data is bad, like if I were Tom Brady I would sue bad. There is no baseline data other then the referee's word that the balls were "legal" and the ref doesn't even remember what gauge he used to measure them with. The balls were not measured in the same environment that they were played in. Even the Colt's balls when measured had dropped around .75 to 1 PSI from what their target PSI of 13 was based on the initial statement made by the referees as to what they recall. No one has mentioned that when checking the footballs for the PSI that a significant amount of air can be lost that way as well. It's just really bad data that no definite conclusions can be based on. At my job all the PhD's have been laughing about how awful it is.

Oh yes right...the kid thing. Lol. His wife had some cancer issues which precluded her from being able to take the drug, so he did, on the advice of his doctor. It worked, they had a baby, case closed. I'd say that's a pretty cut and dry story. You don't have to believe him, but I do. It was not a legal drug by NFL standards so he had to sit 4 games.

If it was almost anything other than clomid....that one (and HCG) are just too commonly linked to testosterone abuse. But maybe he did it for the right reasons....at the least he needs a new doc. Even I know clomid is banned.

The NFL is risking millions of dollars and it's reputation on "really bad data". Ok.

Uummm...the NFL really has no reputation. Not a good one when it comes to discipline anyway.

You want to know what I think really bad data is? I think an equipment manager who takes a bag of footballs into a locked restroom for a minute and 40 seconds and calls himself "The Deflator", then claims it's because he's "trying to lose weight" is bad data. In fact, I think that is literally laugh out loud bad data.

In the face of that "data", if you guys want to keep looking for answers in the science, then, I guess, knock yourselves out.

If he played for the Pats would you still believe him? Probably, but what would it matter? He served his suspension as he should have.

Hey it was just a question. You are rationalizing one cheat being okay and believing him at his word but you won't believe another. Aren't ped's changing the way the game is played as delaying a ball is. You want Brady hanged and all the Pats championships stripped because them deflating balls. Won't ped's effect the outcome as well as a deflated ball?

BTW the colts were cleared of piping in crowd noise but we're never investigated by the NFL.

I didn't say it was ok he cheated. I said he paid for his mistake, as he should have, and just as the QB from Massachusetts will.

BTW the colts were cleared of piping in crowd noise but we're never investigated by the NFL. There was nothing to investigate. Obviously.
