Not necessarily my cup of tea either, but Smith & Wesson has a very similar rifle for sale now as well. www.smith-wesson.com/1854It'll be interesting to see if they sell well.

Congrats on your new set up.
It ought to be a dandy.

Well, I got the new piston and it's installed. I took 3 different brands, weights, size and lengths out back. I fired 3 rounds of each. The gun functioned perfectly. Cycled fast, no feed issues and ejected the rounds without hesitation. Now, do I really want to part ways with it or, consider the gun fixed with the new piston. Still not sure what exactly was wrong with the other piston but, I had no problems this morning with the new one installed. That's likely a question only you can answer. Good luck with your decision.

I still can't believe he went on those podcasts bringing more attention to himself. What an idiot. He must have really wanted the attention. Kinda what I was thinking as well...

It's not surprising that this was the outcome. What is surprising is that people think they can get away with things like this.

They can't call it a "Swiss army knife" without a blade. That would be fraud if they did. And here you go...

I went a couple of times in the early 80's.
It was fun back then, but I can't see myself going again.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what potential "deal" are you referring to? Referring to my avatar, obviously I'm a TC fanboy. My use of "deal" refers to any means set forth to get TC back up and running in more original format, not S&W ran, which let quality suffer. Thanks for the clarification as I obviously misread the original post. Sorry. I'm looking forward to seeing what the company brings to the market in the next year or so.

You don't have to guess how I feel about any deal to keep them going! Maybe I'm missing something, but what potential "deal" are you referring to?

Good luck to Gregg Ritz on his new venture. I'm sure there are many people happy to see the brand come back.

Unfortunately, I don't see any good way of dealing with this issue based on the suggestions I've read here.
Here's hoping the hunter moves on next year.

According to Indiana hunting regulations...
If the above is correct, I would call the DNR and ask them about the stands that are up during a time they aren't supposed to be.
