I'd be in the process of selling those 600 acres in 100 acre parcels to suckers who were stupid enough to think that what I was over charging was a bargain . The proceeds of said sale would be used to buy the largest chunk of Indiana woods that I could reasonably afford to keep in my possesion from then on , a square mile would be nice and would be comparable to what I sold . The remainder would probably keep me in beer money for quite awhile . ;D

DRS, I may be wrong but even if it was Pike county Indiana I don't believe I-69 would bother you. The maps I have seen looks to be going through Gibson county which really stinks as it will have to cut through Patoka NWR.

I-69 will go through eastern side of Gibson County, cross SR 64 slightly west of SR 57/64 intersection, up west side of 57, cross into Pike, then north of Glezen about 1.5 miles will cross to east side of 57, then stay east of it through remainder of Pike and up to Washington.

I stand corrected. Either way it is going to screw up some good land.

What's worse is our Man Mitch leased out our roads to the higherst bidder! I and many other still think an upgrade of US 41 and I-70 into Indinanpolis would be cheaper and more feasible. They also need to construct a belt around the west side of Vanderburgh County to make it easier for ISU students and to take some traffic pressure off US 41. <Sorry I didn't mean to hijack this topic>

Are there more?

Getting kind of sidetracked on the toll road topic, but I'm all for it. Let those that use it pay for it. Makes perfect sense.
Privatization also makes good sense. It has been proven over and over that keeping business in the private sector and out of the hands of goverment is a more cost effiecient way to go. Put the toll road project in the hands of our state government and it will cost the taxpayers twice as much, and take twice as long to get built.

By the way I agree with Steiny 100% on this issue. People complain about the taxes then complain about our gov. attempting to reduce our oversized government.
