Buck down. Little ground shrinkage but I'll take it. Things were pretty quiet besides a few does early and then just after 10:00 I heard all kinds of crashing in grunting and for bucks we're chasing one doe. When he came by I had to yell to get him to stop that did him in.   Way to get it done! Congratulations! |

All posted up in a tree, got a doe in the freezer and now hunting just for fun. I love being out here!

Back in the same stand as this morning. Still not a whole lot of rut activity going on this property. 2 small bucks and 3 does we’re all hanging out in the neighbors field feeding when I drove past. Seems to usually be the 16th or so that it tends to get rocking here. We shall see. Good luck to everyone out!

Up and ready.
Sat out this morning because my daughter played an indoor softball tournament last night and I got to bed around 3:00 A.M. I actually struggled with sleep just kinda did a few things around the barn. Weird wind, weird weather, but it's November 9th!
Pappy always said "wind from the East,kill a beast". We'll see!

Same stand as this morning. Setup for about an hour now. Seen a doe and doe fawn so far. No buck.

And I just laid the smack down on what I believe is an 8 pointer. He’s laying about 75 yds behind me. It is in fact an 8 pointer. Got him back to my vehicle and have been out in the woods looking for a doe. |

It's dead here. The guys north of us in our unit seen 3 and killed 2. We've seen a doe and that's it.

Made it out a little late this afternoon but, I'm out nonetheless. Sitting on an oak ridge in-between bedding and cut corn.

There is such a big flock of black birds around me makeing so much noise I don't think I could hear an elephant comming thru the woods.
Maby if I say something Outlook about 20 blackbird in a pie the will get the point
