Got the Matthews out for practice session. It's ready to roll. While practicing, I watched a 1.5 year old buck scent check some does in my horse pasture. Might slip out for a evening hunt or 2 this week. Still little early for me , but getting closer.  |

didn’t see any sign of an arrow? I’m not sure exactly where we were but we were roughly 1 hour into a five hour river float in Wabash county. I can smell that thing from my livingroom. |

Saturday to Monday morning looks good if the weather stays true. |

Just saw two shooter bucks at home. They got spooked at bed #2 area and ran in front of my desk window to big bed #1 area. I'm in the middle of three beds. Big one across the street about 100 yards away. One on left and one on the right behind my house each around 250 yards apart from each bed. My stand intersects beds 2 and 3.

Hoping the small dip in temp this weekend will do some work. Fall break and vacation is over, have a break in the kids sports. Its go time from here til gun season now!!! Finally gonna start getting after it this weekend and moving forward.

Younger bucks are definitely bumping the does around. Watched them last night running them down around soybean field.

I think I’ll give it a shot tomorrow morning (pun intended) looks like maybe a weak cold front coming. I want to, but have another PT in the morning for my knee. I have two more next week on Tuesday and Thursday. Next two weeks after that taking PT off. I have 4 more PT's after that. Next week might be it. I'm going to see what my PT guy says. Might be good to take a couple weeks from PT and then go back to see how much improvement doing all the stand walks. |
