I pitch all mine too, the problem is I don't get out there very often because I'm too busy doing other stuff on the property. I've only made it out there twice this whole summer so far to give you an idea. I knew it would be too far for you but I figured I'd pick at ya 🤣. My pond is only about a 1/4 of an acre, maybe a 1/3 tops, it's not real big so it don't take long too become crowded and they stocked way too many when they stocked it to begin with.

I verified a couple of my better 22's today. So we wont have any excuses in the morning skurry woods. 😝
Next time out I'm gonna take my skurry sniper, the 22 Hornet. I shot it as well today. Woah. Removing heads will be the end result. 🙃

Please add one for team 3. Tough sledding for me this morning. This is the only squirrel I shot at. Saw a glimpse of three or four others but they were way up in hickories. Too much lower canopy at this spot makes it challenging. I'll try some fresh ground tomorrow.

Please add 1 more for Team 3. Went where I saw a bunch while mushroom hunting this spring. I must be getting to the woods too late. Been around 8:30 the past two times and I think they must be eating right at sun up. Did see a bunch of boot tracks where I went this morning, too. Personal total is now 7.

Never even seen a skurry on the road, in a yard, or nothing. We went to Kingsbury FWA and went straight to the hickories. Nothing. Of course seen everything else, deer, turkeys, etc. Did have the craziest encounter ever though! I stepped on a weasel, ferret, or what ever it is, and it screamed out!!! I ONLY jumped about 5 feet straight up! Lol. It sat there and looked at us, we both wondered if it was hurt or what. It sat there for a few minutes while I took its picture. I walked up to it and it ran off just fine. What an experience! SISSY! 🤣🤣🤣

I never seen a weasel, I've always wondered how big they got and what they looked like in real life. There are a couple different weasels in Indiana. Mink are are one of them. I seen a ermine a couple winters ago. Like a squirrel on high dose caffeine!!

1 for team 4 please Due to some family stuff the first day I really got out. The first time I've had both my boys with me, the oldest 19, the youngest 5. Headed out to HNF and more of the last couple years first time out, more logging: Looks to still be an active site as well, so who knows how expansive the clearing will be. Finally got into some woods and saw a couple but offered no shot. Didn't hear any cutting all day. At one point I turned towards a noise to have a squirrel barreling straight at me on the ground. He ran right past I could have grabbed it then started cutting right and left when I tried to take aim. My youngest was nodding off by noon and we made our way out. At some point I did manage to spot one coming towards us in the trees. Didn't think to grab a pic until after in the freezer.

Please add 4 more to Team 3. Maybe I should just hunt evenings... Apparently didn't have the greatest exit angle on a couple, but you don't lose much meat from a front leg. Personal total is now 11.

I always thought mink and weasels were 2 different things going by how dad talked. They are. mink are a type of weasel. They are part of the mustelid family, which also includes ferrets, polecats, and ermines. Minks are larger than most weasels.

Skurries are falling out of the sky again today. Need a hard hat on. 😝 Ran into a guy at the cleaning station yesterday evening that said he had squirrels cutting next to the water where he was fishing at NOON!
