Looks good to me Duff..
I think the pros use some special camera filters.
At full eclipse someone close shot off a gun 3 times. Not sure what that was all about?

Not like new years massive tannerite explosions or crane's low house shaking shock waves. Pretty sure just boomers

Call me "Debbie Downer" if you want, but for the life of me, I can't see the big deal about the whole thing? I wouldn't drive across the county to see it,let alone drive across the country. I'd travel across the county but probably not out of state. Pretty cool to hear the frogs start up. The Hispanic crew building a house close to me even stopped working!

That was cool. Looking forward to the next one in 2044! Best I could get but not even close to justice The big let down was not being able to take a photo that mimicked what we saw with the naked eye. I will say one thing -- if you weren't in the totality zone, it would be pretty underwhelming. Even at 99%, I wasn't impressed at all. The moment your glasses go dark at 100% and you lower them is the surreal, other-worldly part.

The moment your glasses go dark at 100% and you lower them is the surreal, other-worldly part. Yep.. that was the impressive part. Before it was looking through the glasses at a circle that was getting smaller with another circle starting to cover it up. Not impressed, as it did not look like the sun or the moon. Every now and the a cloud wiped that out. I watched my phone to keep track of time and when it got to full coverage time I naked eye looked up and WOW! You could really see it was the sun and the moon covering it. It did not last long and the sun started coming out the other side of the moon so back went on the glasses. It was anticlimactic after that snd we came in the houses

My first total eclipse I have seen in 71 years. I thourghly enjoyed it. I was in Decatur. My camera was not up to the task but my daughter-in-law's was. Seeing planets mid afternoon was the icing on the cake.

97% here, one welding helmet wouldn't auto darken in the sun, the other would. It got cool and not real dark, but I had to turn the lights on in the pole barn. Not for long though.

My only regret is not traveling just a little further for total eclipse. I don’t live that far off highway and have never seen that many cars traveling at the same time!

Meh, I'd rather all the screaming kids and yelling drunks were in school and at work.

The amount of traffic going West on Rt 30 this evening was nuts. Easily 2x-3x as much as on a Sunday evening with all the tourists going back to the big city. I imagine they went East and South East to see the eclipse.

I had a blast, I put a pork shoulder on at midnight, checked the fire every 2 hrs. Got done just in time. We had family and friends over to watch. I'm really glad I took the day off, time well spent.
