Yesterday I went on Facebook Marketplace and saw a boat that was in my price range. It’s 14 foot not as wide as I was hoping but on my budget I couldn’t be happier. The trailer needs the brake lights replaced and the side markers replaced so I contacted my hunting partner and he’s going to help me with the trailer.

Add grease if needed. |

Congratulations, Check everything and then double check everything again before you ever take it hunting/fishing.
Get 3 oars for the boat always good to have a spare.

I am jealous I got kicked off marketplace for some reason. 3 reviews and apparently banned for life now....going to have to find other means to wheel and deal.

I purchased new tires when I was picking up the Boat and Trailer and put them on before I left the place of purchase |

Congratulations, Check everything and then double check everything again before you ever take it hunting/fishing. Get 3 oars for the boat always good to have a spare. You know what they say about a boat (a boat is a hole in the water you pour money into). One of the main reasons why it took me so long to purchase a boat because of the expenses. My hunting buddy is coming over to help me fix what needs to be fixed . |

Little more money but get the LED brake light and side lights. You’ll enjoy not replacing the bulbs regularly.

When you travel make sure you tie down anything you put in the boat even your decoys.
When you are at the check stations in the morning have someone stay with the boat so that nobody steals anything from your boat.

I now have a problem with the boat trailer. There is no Visible vin number only a bill of sale which seems it’s not going to let me plate the trailer. I have paperwork from the BMV and they are suggesting that I get a count order to appear in court and have the judge order a new trailer vin number. I need to get my local Police Department to do a Physical check on the trailer and pay $ 15.00 then go to the court house and have the judge order a new vin number for the trailer .

Someone may have painted over them numbers sometimes they just stamp the numbers in the metal vs using a plate I have see it both ways. |

Did the trailer and the boat each have a title when you bought them? If they had titles what state were they from? Most smaller boat trailers are labeled with a sticker that has the VIN# on it however those stickers are cheap and they disappear over time. Getting a court ordered VIN# is not a big deal I helped many guys get VIN#'s during my time. Carry the bill of sale with you when you take it hunting this weekend, if stopped for having no plate show the officer the paperwork and let them you are in the process of getting through the court system. Don't let the grass grow under your feet regarding this matter get it taken care of ASAP. Also get you boat numbers while your at it. |

The Boat has a Vin number on it and the sticker letters and numbers. Plus the boat came with the bill of sale’s and the old registration card. The trailer on the other hand just came with a Bill of sales.
