Addiction indeed...I couldn't help myself and went out Saturday morning. I didn't fire a shot but I did see 2 other guys with ducks.

My disease was cured. Got out on Monroe today....almost didn't make it off. Got stuck in mud so bad I was contemplating leaving waders in the mud.
Saw like 6 ducks....I hate duck hunting

Finally saw a few flocks of birds flying around this morning. Also saw more geese on the retention ponds than I have so far this season.

Been a good weekend at Goose Pond, must have finally got a push. 4 mallard tonight and 3 gadwalls on Thursday. 2 mallards and a wigeon out there last week. Been off work for a month now so I’ve been hunting a lot lately. Got skunked there half my hunts but the other half aren’t so bad. I’ve heard the place can be absolutely amazing when it’s a good year, I can only imagine

Been a good weekend at Goose Pond, must have finally got a push. 4 mallard tonight and 3 gadwalls on Thursday. 2 mallards and a wigeon out there last week. Been off work for a month now so I’ve been hunting a lot lately. Got skunked there half my hunts but the other half aren’t so bad. I’ve heard the place can be absolutely amazing when it’s a good year, I can only imagine That's good news. I opted out of Goosepond, figuring it was frozen. Tried my private spot and saw one flock right at daylight but still no shots fired. It can be good sometimes. But nowadays the draw is crowded especially on weekends. The Thursday before Christmas this year there were 27 parties. |

I’ve heard the place can be absolutely amazing when it’s a good year, I can only imagine That's good news. I opted out of Goosepond, figuring it was frozen. Tried my private spot and saw one flock right at daylight but still no shots fired. It can be good sometimes. But nowadays the draw is crowded especially on weekends. The Thursday before Christmas this year there were 27 parties. Talked to a dnr employee at Monroe last week. He said stillwater draw is packed. Killing about 20-30 a day. Main lake is so low hard to hunt the shorelines. Pretty much no birds to speak of on main lake. Looks like fishing it is for me. |

That's wild for Stillwater, especially for the day/time of the draws. I've only hunted there a couple of times but scouted a bit. It either seems loaded or empty - no real in between. |

The Thursday before Christmas this year there were 27 parties. All this year that I’ve been going, there hasn’t been many groups. Most I’ve seen is 18. From what I’ve been told, it’s been bad year, the waters been low and the temps have been high so word travels fast and most guys this year aren’t wasting their time |

Mostly gadwalls, a few mallards and one northern shoveler. My buddy that’s been hunting for years said that’s the closest he’s ever come to a 3 man limit back to back. Could only hunt until noon today so an all day hunt would have happened for sure |
