Smoked a nice doe this morning. Came in to 25 yards. Kinda knew something was up but got top of heart and both lungs. Watched her fall about 40 yards away. Heading to the butcher after breakfast.

I finally got a decent buck on camera. It says Ed's farm, but it's at my home for now. I had to get a better antenna and I have it out for testing. Sunday or Monday I plan to re-install the camera. Still night time action. What antenna did you get? I don't have enough service to use a cell cam at my lease and would like to upgrade. ZDTECH High Gain 10-12dBi External SMA Male/Dual SMA Male 3G 4G 5G LTE Omni Directional Outdoor Antenna for Mobile Cell Phone Cellular 4G/LTE/5G Router Modem Gateway(698-4000 MHz) I have not taken it to my brother's farm yet. I will know next week.

Woodmaster ended up seeing 10 ... 6 were bucks.. one hot or medium warm doe is all it takes. He missed the best of the bunch.

Back at it this afternoon, had to cut this mornings hunt short to get new tires and a oil change and service on the wife's car but I did see deer this morning. So on my way across the field to my stand I stopped at the base of a high line tower to eat my gas station lunch and a little fork horn come trotting by about 20 yds stops and looks at me, I say hi young man and he trotts away. It is 1:30 in the afternoon and a little warm but it's the rut and anything can happen.

Well, this is exciting. I’m pretty sure I have a buck locked down with a doe about 20 yards from my stand.
I got in here at 3 and let out an estrous bleat soon after. There were immediately footsteps, close by, on the other side of a 12’ tall wall of multi flora rose. A few minutes of silence, I bleat again, and am answered by a soft grunt. After a few more minutes I grunted, which led to more footsteps and what sounded like taking of antlers in the brush. He won’t step out though, any deer from that way will have to actually enter the food plot for me to see them.
I’m pretty sure they’re still there, hopefully the doe leads him into the food plot before dark.

Not live but fairly close. It’s been a slow season for me so far. Several long sits with no deer seen and camera has been dead. This guy showed at 7:50 am this morning out of nowhere. He came in real quite and quick and almost got past me. Fortunately I was able to stop him in the last shooting lane I had. It may have been a little longer but from the point of first seeing him to letting the arrow fly it may have been 15 seconds.

The deer I was hearing never did come out. They were still walking around in there and occasionally grunting as I was walking out in the dark.

I had a doe walking across in front of me about 30 yards out. Suddenly this 10-pointer that I never knew was there comes angling out from behind me -- almost underneath me -- heading for the doe. I clipped my release onto the string, drew, and fired immediately -- heart shot!

So, for all the guys that are into using scents, who is using a doe in estrus scented drag when they walk in to their stand?

Every morning on my way in. Anything actually follow the trail in? Yep…had a nice 8 follow it in last week. They don’t always, but it only takes the right one to do it.
