He tried his hardest to get out of it obviously. Just wasn’t quite fast enough. Hopefully he gets punishment and not a slap on the hand.

Hopefully he gets fired or forced to step down Let’s wait till the courts system does their job before we start firing someone. This person has played a BIG part in our second amendment rights in Indiana.

If he's guilty, he should be treated like any other person facing the same charges. If that means jail. So be it.

No one is advocating for any lesser penalty… but it does seem some want a bigger penalty because who he is though! How about we let the courts decide the penalty for the crime he is found guilty of or pleads guilty to.

He chose his political position and knows the status that comes with that. He is someone that should be respected and looked up to, but that obviously isn’t his number one priority. I think his penalties should be more harsh than a regular Joe of the same crime. You choose the public spotlight, you pay more for stupidity.

I never said anything about pass goods/achievements, but him being a public appointee and in the eyes of everyone he knows what’s expected of him. He represents portions of this state and failed big time.

Hmmmm I'm not much into politics but I'll drop my 2 cents. I think he should receive the same punishment as anyone else in the same situation. Past record or lack there of would play a factor as far as leniency goes in my opinion. In the end he is human and made a mistake, hopefully he is sorry for his actions and gets help. I believe in his profession he should do his very best to do good for the people he serves, he messed up but if no priors I say probation, loss of license for a bit, and a heafty fine. If he has priors then all of those punishments are heavier. Also any injuries to anyone else would play a factor as well.

I think the law should be applied equally, no matter who it is.
Unfortunately we have been going faster than a bullet to a two tiered justice system where political persuasion means more than innocence or guilt .
The punishment should fit the crime. But then like any of us, he will have to answer to his boss - the voters
