Found about 10 in Clay county this afternoon, only 5 weren't dried up, bringing my season total to about 25. HORRIBLE year for mushrooms. I also pulled off TWENTY ONE TICKS!!!

Do you know about the permethrin tick spray that you make up to treat your clothes with that lasts for a BUNCH of washings? It might be in the turkey hunting section. You buy the stuff from TSC in bulk, mix it at a 19:1 or 20:1 ratio with water and spray your clothes. A now $22 bottle will last for years.

I've used (very sucessfully) a mixure of Hi Yield 38, mix is almost 4 tablespoons per gallion of water. Esshup is right in that once sprayed on until damp then let dry, it'll last through several washings.

It’s a start for me… Is that from the Marshall county area?

Yes, Marshall county. These were on my wife’s aunts place, lighter soil, probably warmer too. I live on heavy clay, mine are just starting.

Some Bluegill fillets would also look great on that plate.

What's better for long term? Ripping them out of the ground or cutting them off at ground level?
