A project within a project wheeew...... I had to change out the right rear wheel bearing on my wifes car due the sensor material on the back of the bearing that the speed/stabila track sensor picks up. While using a 10mm wrench to loosen the sensor the wrench slipped and down it goes. Well I never heard it hit the floor, so I stick my head farther into the wheel well to find it. I didn't see it, so I look under the car, didn't see it, looked back on the suspension didn't see it. This goes on for about 20 mins, this is when my patients started down the toilet. I get a brighter light and resume my search back to the wheel well,, ah ha found it and how it got where it was who knows. Seems that the part of the A arm suspension is hollow, the wrench found it way into that hollow part. It's a good thing it wasn't a 10mm socket, I would of never found it ! Sorry I'm not tech savoy enough to highlight the area where the wrench was, but it's just left below center of the pic.

The wrench had 10mm on it, it's closely related to the 10mm socket.........

I use an extendable magnet, retractable claw, and a mirror in those circumstances. Very frustrating sometimes!

My project for the weekend is to replace the window motor and regulator on the rear passenger door of our Honda Accord. I tried to repair the old mechanism, but for the price the new system ended up the best option. So many things I have done, yet, this one is a first for me!

Will be nice for the portability if you camp or tailgate. Cool idea.

I spent about 10 hours total working on firewood this weekend. I was up at 6:30 both mornings, and kept going until the sun crested the trees. Even then, I had to tell myself to take a break and not over do it. A little over half way done with the stack already. Cool temps this week ahead, so gonna try to finish up and check one more thing off the list.

Got the trim all done and a tv mounted in the basement and really like the way it all turned out. Next up will be an accent wall where the ping pong table is and then a bar will go in front of it. Finally looks liked a finished room. Looks good Dave lot of work I’m sure but it’s going to be a good area for a lot of different activities regardless of age Any idea on wall wood paint tile tin?

It’s going to be wood. Was going to cut and stain all of it myself, but menards sells some kits that I’m just going to buy. Save me a bunch of time. Just trying to decide on a color. Will be either grayish or one that has some natural looking woods in it to match the two whiskey barrels I will be using for the ends of the bar.

For what’s it’s worth believe me I’m not a designer I’d probably go with something in that weathered barn style grey if you could get something even with some white in it like your talking it will keep the room brighter Dark wall colors will bring your height down from photos I’d say your a 8 foot ceiling some of your saving from feeling low was painting everything black and lettering it open btw I like that look. I’m fairly sure I know the earth tone natural colors your thinking or close to anyway I do like that look also but you have no natural light or I don’t see any in photos I’m not sure with a darker color like that it could or would make it fill smaller natural light brings out colors better than any light bulb can darker colors stay dark without out good lighting Couple other things but money and more work I don’t think it would be a ton of it but more Used tin roofing on bottom of wall and just seal it build a free floating shelf to cap it those are easy ask me how if you decided to do that than you have you a place for showing off stuff glass booze Come in roughly a 1/4 from each side run wood vertical from shelf to ceiling height center 1/2 run wood horizontal that will pitcher frame the center you could do some nice photos or hang things it creates a focal point Again more money but a one Piece mirror for the center 1/2 would add a ton of depth to it If your hanging wood that won’t fit tight or has cracks holes paint that wall black so it doesn’t show I would try and run more vertically than horizontal it will keep your height Myself I’d use the same wood if possible for the bar top if your making it to tie it together The stuff I could do if I had endless money to spend on materials and time to do it If your building your bar top I have some ideas on that if you don’t mind working all summer

So, sounds like you have it all planned out. Come on down when you’re ready. Free room, food, and heck I’ll even buy your crown for ya!
I did think about painting that wall black and still may before I do anything else to it. The bar will take away from seeing a big chunk of that wall anyway. I’m doing corrugated metal across the front of the bar from barrel to barrel. Still not positive on the bar top. Did think about matching the trim and just do a good layer of epoxy across it to seal it all up. I’d love to do a live edge bar top from one of the trees I’ve dropped on our property. Thanks for all the tips.

No I just like spending other peoples money for them it doesn’t hurt at all and the amount of crown I can drink you’d be way cheeper hiring someone
The tree slap would be a great addition you have something wide enough for that you think

Thanks for all the tips. Look at some of the live edge epoxy work that Keith does. I'm having him do all the countertops in the house when it's done being remodeled. He's a buddy of mine. www.facebook.com/KCDCDesigns/

Let me see if I can find it and post it here. It was done in the customers house. He works with the customers to see what colors go the best with their interior design and goes from there.
