The beginning of it all is almost upon us. The skurry opener has always signified the start of fall and hunting for me. Let the games begin fellas!

Got the double-barrel muzzleloader loaded and sitting by the door, just waiting for sunrise.

Very few mosquitoes out in the boonies at home. At work in South Bend, bad and getting worse. Hope the skurry woods is blood sucker free!
May get out a time or two early, but typically wait for cooler weather.

I normally look forward to today, but since I'm out of hunting anything at all unless the docs can get my legs better, this time it's sort of depressing. I am going to get these little piney squirrels out of the mulberry tree though if possible .

That's right! I'll toss the 17 Mach II in the truck tomorrow. I have a 22 marlin, a 17 hmr and a 17 bmag savage but haven't got a Mach 2. Heard great things though. Probably hard to come by one these days ?

Took my single at close to 100 yards with my new 17 hmr. Man I love that gun already. Right behind the front leg and very minimal damage. Just a in and out pinhole.

Probably hard to come by one these days ? I've had it for probably close to 10 years now and have enough ammo for it for a while. It's a Kimber.

Plain Jane Marlin bolt, wood stock, mag fed. Been my go to gun for years and years. Just fits and feels good. I love my Marlin 22mag and Sav 17hmr as well, but with ammo costs and availability, I save them for late season longer shots.

Good morning guys and gals, it's been a while since I've been on but rest assured I'm still alive and kicking. Just got to the woods for some well needed therapy with Mother Nature since deer season. Hoping to get my limit on some tree rats and get some scouting done as well.
