Ice on top of the snow should make things interesting…  Been a real parade of fun lately. I figured we would pay the price for such a good run of nice weather. |

Ice on top of the snow should make things interesting… I'll take the ice on top of the snow vs. the ice on bare concrete. That way I can get rid of the ice by shoveling the snow vs. trying to melt the ice on the concrete. Now my snow removal plan just got bumped to Tuesday. |

You guys have fun playing in the snow. The wife and I slipped out of there this morning. Stopped south of Atlanta for the night on the way to my neighbors place in Florida . Going to catch some crappies with him next week.

IT'S OFICIAL: Chicago new reports that Pinola, Indiana has received 27" of snow and a possible 8" more is expected by tomorrow. I live 3 miles south of Pinola. I will be busy tomorrow. 4 miles north of Pinola on Friday.  |

LaPorte, IN broke their single day snowfall record at 21.9" on Jan. 19. Original record was during the blizzard of '78 (19.5")
They fell 2" shy of the two-day record of 34".

-7 here. Pretty miserable for man or beast. The weather guessers lied again, it was -9°F here this morning and they said the low would be -4°F. Now lets see how accurate they are about the ice Monday night. |

The latest from my Dad: While he was being a good neighbor, cleaning all his friend's driveways and sidewalks, he got word that the neighbors next to his church were doing the same by cleaning his parking lot, only with bigger equipment.    |
