I just got off the phone with my Mom.
My Mom and Dad live a few miles south of downtown LaPorte.
They’re both 84 yrs old.
She says,
I’m worried because your crazy Dad is going around the neighborhood with his snowblower cleaning people’s walks and driveways.
I told her to have him call me when he comes in to warm up!
This ought to be an interesting conversation!

Yikes… We have 3" on the ground in the southern part of the state, and as of 11:00 am it's a balmy 8 degrees (which is 8 degrees warmer than it was when I woke up). I hate Winter... |

Well, I called my Dad and gave him a good talkin' to! Told him he needs to ease up and not work so hard out there in this frigid weather! I thought it went pretty good... until he spoke up! He says, "Boy (guess I'll always be his little boy) If I want to clean the snow for my neighbors, I'm gonna do it! I'm having a blast out there and that's all there is to it!"  Ok then, Put Mom back on the phone! "Hey Ma, It's gonna be what it's gonna be! Pops thinks he's 20 yrs old again so let him go! Just keep an eye on him! Along with being a farmer, he's been a Pastor all his adult life and all he knows is serving people!" |

One of the better decisions I made last year was to replace my 23 year old furnace in November.
This new one is getting a workout.
Going to wait till tomorrow to plow snow still getting some minor lake effect and its a bit windy right now besides that I don't have anywhere I need to go.

Isn't more than 2-3" on the ground total in Cass county.

We went to clear out the MIL in LaPorte. There is probably about 24" snow, and only the main roads were plowed. It was crazy to see the lack of movement, and all the driveways snowed in still. Gonna be a lot of cleaning in the days ahead, and then the mess with the rain and warm up to come.

Told her I was mad with 2 inches of snow the other day...lol. you guys are a weird group choosing to live in the snow belt!  |
