Radar shows most is gone. Still raining some tho, so must be lake effect not showing on the radar. A whopping 3.1" in my gauge. Got almost 4 total this morning on the rain gauge.

Thunderstorms woke me up in southern Jackson County last night, just under 1/2". Guess Salem and Paoli got hit with some high winds and possible tornado.

I had a weird storm issue yesterday around noontime. Another storm and a lightning hit very nearby. It might have hit the house, but not sure. My wife was home and half the lights went out and changed for a few seconds which one on or off and all the appliances went off in the kitchen. She also heard a bell like electronic noises. She can't explain the noises. I noticed yesterday at work the security door camera was not working. I had to take care of a couple things after work and around 8pm I got home. I found out my door bell transformer got fried. I have low voltage ac generator and put 16VAC on the doorbell camera and it's good. My guess a winding got very hot and shorted out. My guess the electronic bell noise my wife heard was the door bell that got hit with a voltage spike. I think nothing else got damaged, but I do need to check my pilot ignitor in my furnace. This evening I'll take a walk round the house. I might have a dark mark somewhere or a little brick damage. It might have hit the barn and back feed to the house. I do have the barn grounded. I checked all the breakers and appliances and all good. You never know what the current to future brings.
I just noticed at work my home phone charger didn't charge my phone last night. Low battery just showed up at work. I have a charger at work so not a issue. I guess one more thing got hit - another transformer device.

Luke's first football game is Wed. I'm taking half night, and working 12-4pm so I can go. Wife just said they may cancel if heat index at or over 100deg. Game or not, will be nice to get out of work during the hottest part of the day.

Our JV game was cancelled this evening. Some of the other local schools are practicing in the AM and others are going from 7-9 PM. I am anticipating our game this Friday will be moved to 8PM.

I pushed it about two hours after work today moving and spreading about ten tractor buckets of dirt. It was dang hot and I was nasty sweaty by the time I came back inside. Gonna be a warm one at the games Friday night that’s for sure.

I can't express how dangerous this weather is. I've see heat exhaustion too many times and it can turn to stroke so fast. If you feel weak or dizzy you got to get out quick and hydrate and cool down.

We had a JV game this evening, everything seemed ok, but it was humid. We only have one morning practice for this week on Thursday, supposed to be our hottest day.
