We got just enough to wet the ground yesterday. Barely registered in the rain gauge. I was still grateful for every drop.

The heat in our shop made for a super long 4 day work week! I was totally gassed tonight. Very glad it's over for awhile.

Once it hits the 90s I’d rather be in the negatives of winter again. I hate the heat. Opposite. Had my daughters hs graduation ceremony last evening. Got to the football field at 530...ceremony started at 7. Ended 830ish. I didn't mind but plenty of folks were complaining! |

It's rough out there. I'm seeing most of the corn fields with 9" corn stalks all wilted .

If we don't get some rain pretty soon here it's going to start damaging crops. It's way too dry way too early in suburban Floyd Co. Yards are already stressing bad. I've learned to water my lawn sparingly to keep it healthy, but not so much to the point that the grass becomes somewhat dependent. I have a friend on the Clark-Scott line. He said that some farmers are already replanting due crops germinating and then drying up. |
