Our hot tub should be delivered this week. Just in time for this heat wave. I think I’d make it a “cold tub” for awhile. 😉 One of my daughters has one and they say they enjoy it the most when the weather is cold outside.

I have a royal spa tub. Just dont want a pool. The tub is maintenance enough What kind of maintenance is it? We are getting the same brand tub You are a step ahead if you have potable waterline, I have to put my treated well water in it because my well is so hard. I just use the floaty with chlorine tablets and clean the skimmer and filter when I notice anything in the water. I think emptying the tub and cleaning it every couple months is a must. Mine is pretty old, so yours may be different. The main filter can last quite a while if you clean it, but they wear out and have to replaced every few months. Plus, having it outside is awesome, but it is hard on the top and panels. Tops are spendy and when they get heavy it is usually game over.

It will be on a screened in patio so it won't get that much sun or bugs in it.

I want to watch it snow from the tub. I'm going to make a TV hookup on the patio so I can watch football games while soaking.

That's neat! First thing that came to mind was... mother nature thought Cook county was like a giant trailer park and tried to wipe it out with a tornado. 😂

There is a woods on Ardmore Ave with a lot of old oaks in it. Went by it Tuesday and there were several I could see that were probably 36"+ across. Blown over. some I could see had visible rot. Right over the street was a fenceline with a fead but still stand Ash or Elm.I was out to my brother's in southern Allen and there are pockets of downed trees then nothing. I came home on mostly west County line. Same clear up to my place. REMC video of AEP poles to REMC's sub-station. It looks like AEP needs to do preventative maintenance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn13rEvpLwo

No rain here, just hotter than three mice wrestling in a wool sock!
I went to Sam's Tuesday evening to restock up Gatorade and water for our crews. There were three other guys there doing the same and the store was about out of hydration drinks.

Looks like it’s just barely going to miss me to the south. May get a few sprinkles but that looks to be about it.

The next 10 day outlook hugs 90deg throughout. Yuck from a working perspective. As a welder in a non-air conditioned factory, I love hearing the radio people say "stay inside today"! Some people have no clue.....
