First few hours of light about all I got for field work! It's hotter than a hooker's door knob on dime beer night. Got the blow up pool out on the deck works nice.

In South Bend, 93deg and heat index 108deg so far. Still supposed to climb higher. Our shop has to be 10-15deg above that. Will check my heat gun when I start shortly. Wish me luck! Lol Be thankful you work inside…. |

I did 2 pond consultations from 2 - 4:15 pm today that that was plenty. At the last one the thermometer on the guys back porch in the shade read 99°F, when I got home the thermometer that was in the sun read 110°F. Pile on the humidity and I bet it was closer to a "feel like of 120°F. The A/C in the truck never felt so good after the first 10 minutes.
I didn't charge the last guy, it was about a 1/2 hour talk about what he had to do with the weeds in his pond and how many bass to take out (after I caught one using his rod/reel and texas rigged lizard to show him how skinny they were). As I was leaving he said "Wait a minute" and went inside, coming out with a walmart bag. He had put some gallon zip loc bags in it that were all filled with frozen crappie fillets in water. Now if it would get cool enough to cook them I'd be happier.
