Awoke to 5 inches of fresh wet snow!! Extended weather looks good for daytime highs above freezing, but this snow is going nowhere because the lows are still below freezing for the next two weeks. Guess I'll have to keep ice fishing!! Hope this is the last of the snow, transfer case went out of the old dodge plow truck. I threw a load of wood on and managed to finish plowing my mothers place and mine in two wheel drive. Only got stuck half dz times. I think the old truck has had enough, time for a replacement. I think Ill look for one that will except my transmission and plow mount. I had the transmission rebuilt about 7 years ago with everything heavy duty, furthest it has been from my house is maybe 3 miles across the lake since then. The guy that rebuilt is known for rebuilding transmissions for the lake road plow trucks around here.

Old truck is done, 2003, motor is tired..lol. Will keep it to run trash to dump and haul firewood from the woods until the motor goes.

My weather the last few weeks has been great...here in California. Talked with my wife last night and back home they're getting a good snow that will last through Monday I think. She said 5" last night, with maybe 4-5 more the next couple days. She doesn't care, just givers her an excuse to go use the quad to plow. I had to laugh this morning though. Been reading on Facebook how the locals in my area are sick of winter, and want it to go away. Lots of talk about how bad this winter has been. Now, back in Nov/Dec, when I said the winter was bad, I got raked over the coals, and basically told to shut up because this was "normal". According to measurements taken this is far, far above normal. I get that there has to be years like this to go along with milder years to create "normal", but I'm laughing my butt off at the same folks complaining who kicked me to the curb earlier. LOL!!!

Just glad it was spread out over a longer time period. If all at once it would’ve been a disaster. Flooding not bad at all today.

I need that orange up here. I wouldn't mind it all coming down in a 24 hour period.

They make it sound that most time they have certain predictions. "There remains some uncertainty with the system" That was a good laugh.

That’s why is called a FORECAST ….😉 1st statement was not a forecast with the "will". Should use might with uncertainly. A strong storm system will bring showers and some thunderstorms

I love how they state weather forecasting and the words they select. Hopefully, no bad storms.

I wish it would rain like heck and get it over with. I'm supposed to deliver a load of fish for a new pond stocking on Saturday and I might not be able to get to the pond if the field is too wet. It's about a half mile off of any road. Calling for 61°F here on Friday and 37°F on Saturday for high temps.

I'm the same with beekeeping. I hope to set my grafting hive up this weekend so I can graft Good Friday or Holy Saturday. The cool rainy weather will not work.

As for weather forecasters, well, I've lived in multiple states, and they can all pull 30 inches of mercury. I can tell the temperature outside by simply letting the dog out in the morning. If he screws around, and has to sniff everything on the planet before he pees, it's warm. If he goes to the closest high spot, pees, and then runs back to the door, it's cold. See...simple.
