I bought a S&W SW22 Victory last weekend and it's not ejecting the fired shells all the way and they get stuck between the bolt and the side of the ejection port. It happens every 2-3 shots and sometimes 2 or 3 shots in a row. I'm using Armscor High Velocity HP ammo and am going to try 4 or 5 different kinds to see if it's just a ammo problem. If it isn't,the question is should I send it back to S&W or have a gunsmith fix it? Just wondering because if I recall there's been quite a few people saying that S&W's turn around time and quality is terrible. Also,do they still have to be returned through a gun dealer? Any help is appreciated.

I would strip it, clean it, lube it, and cycle the heck out of it first. Then definately try other ammo.

I would do everything the poster above said and offer one last piece of advice.
If you can find it, try some CCI mini-mag ammo. I break in all my new .22s with it and it seems to shoot through new semi-automatic guns when other brands want to jam.
Hope this helps.

I was looking for Mini-Mags but haven't found any except online and with the hazardous shipping charges would be expensive. I have some Stingers though which I figured might be about the same thing. I've also got Remington Thunders and Gold bullets and Winchester Super X. Maybe in the next couple of months I can find some Mini-Mags.

You might check there and get lucky.

I'll check to see where 1 is though. Found out the nearest BassPro is over an hour away in a town I've never even heard of,most are about 100 miles away,so that's out of the question. We only have a Walmart in our little town but next time I'm in Muncie I'll check stores over there again. I live in a very rural part of the State, not much close by.

Loaded ammo is shipped NON-Hazmat. Just ORMD or something like that.

Check CCI's website. I was buying direct from there shipped to me. About $75 a brick for the SVs shipped.

I was looking at their site along with others,I was thinking more like a couple of boxes since I'm not even sure if they'll work. I've already got several hundred rounds of different kinds that'll last me for probably 10 years. Other than hunting I don't shoot much anymore and I don't even hunt much anymore, because of health issues and places to hunt, plus being on SS. I'll see how cost efficient it is though. P.S. How many are in a brick, never bought them that way? They're only showing boxes of 100 for $11.99,limit of 10 boxes. With shipping,2 boxes will be about $35.

Not sure about brick quantity but recently have bought a couple 100 round boxes for around 11 bucks after tax. A few weeks ago I bought a 300 round box for around 38 bucks. I have also shot the armscor 22s with lackluster results. Like many on here, I much prefer the mini mags.

As others have said a Brick is 500 rounds. 10 boxes in a large box. The small boxes are packed, not loose like a bulk pack.

Midway USA finally has CCI Green Tag ammo. I haven't seen it in probably 5+ years. Unfortunately it's priced way more than I am willing to pay. Midway USA seems to have a lot of .22lr ammo, but it's all more than I am willing to pay.

I've seen Green tag ammo a few other places too but they were all high. CCI makes a lot of 22lr ammo I've never heard of. I guess I need to get out of the closet more

FWIW, I posted this last year on my experience with S&W customer service experience: hunt-indiana.com/thread/68253/customer-serviceOf course I wasn't happy that my grandson had spent good money, only to find issues with a new firearm from S&W! However, the outcome was very positive and I can say that after hundreds of rounds of various ammo, his rifle is still running flawlessly!

I might be thinking of something other than that though, could have even been on a different forum, but what I was thinking was somebody sent a gun back 2 or 3 times and it still wasn't fixed, might not have been S&W though,I thought it was though. I wish my memory was better.
