Went out for my first sit this season on Saturday afternoon. The weather was finally right for the location. Had 3 come in at 5:30pm. Arrowed the biggest doe at 12 paces. Watched her do the 50 yard dash and tip over! Another cold front is coming Thursday - Friday and the wind is supposed to be favorable. May do a couple of morning sits with my son since they're on fall break. Good luck all, may you have a blessed season! Great job! Did you get it on camera? Well Sir, Here's the rest of the story... youtu.be/0FiUBAq8xAk

Hunting w a girl is a little different. She had to go to the bathroom about 645 last night. As we were packing up we had 1 spook that was coming in. Got up to go this morning, but am fighting allergies/sinus issue and am feeling rough. Hope to get out tonight

All set in Morgan Co. Deer were walking in the road on the drive in. Let's see what this morning has in store for us, shall we?

Came in blind to hunt a drainage I've always suspected if being bedding for bucks. Wind was bad for everything else.
So far it appears I should have slept in.

A buddy a few miles away had a doe at 12 yards. I have only seen squirrels so far. So many green leaves still up. It's kinda wild...

Had two yearlings come running in looking behind them and stopped just behind me. They eventually started feeding. Momma slipped in about 15 minutes later and the three of them fed through all around me for another 15 minutes or so and walked away.

Got a new Energizer headlight. Has green and red light plus 450 lumens I believe. Super bright when needed. Right at 20ish bucks

Just had a doe at 6 yds. We decided to just watch her today. Would have been a different story if our freezer was empty.

Just a little bit after it finally got light enough to see, a doe slipped in and milled about long enough to give me a good 20 yard shot at 8:04. She barrelled out of there and I waited 15 minutes to look for my arrow. Found it stuck halfway into the ground. I waited another 15 minutes and started tracking her. Tracking is pretty tough when you are red/green colorblind. She had only went 60-65 yards, but it took me 30 minutes to track her to her final resting spot. Photo is of entrance side; exit is low behind the leg on her left side. She was pretty much completely broadside. Thankful for freezer meat on my first sit of archery season. The Martin Silencer is next up to bat.
