Just a little bit after it finally got light enough to see, a doe slipped in and milled about long enough to give me a good 20 yard shot at 8:04. She barrelled out of there and I waited 15 minutes to look for my arrow. Found it stuck halfway into the ground. I waited another 15 minutes and started tracking her. Tracking is pretty tough when you are red/green colorblind. She had only went 60-65 yards, but it took me 30 minutes to track her to her final resting spot. Photo is of entrance side; exit is low behind the leg on her left side. She was pretty much completely broadside. Thankful for freezer meat on my first sit of archery season. The Martin Silencer is next up to bat. Outstanding! Looks like a nice doe and a perfect shot

Something came up last night and I couldn't hunt. I got out this morning though. I saw one deer moving quickly through the brush at about 0900, can't be sure about it but it moved like a buck. The breeze started getting swirly at around 1000, so I came on in.
I hope to get back out this evening.

Went to Perry county yesterday to mow the grass and hunted Friday evening. Saw 8, six does and 2 bucks. No shooters in this bunch. Give a week off here till the big boys come out.

Well here I sit in my hunny hole fighting to keep my eyes open. Worked 7 hrs yesterday got 3 hrs of sleep and went back in at Midnight and got off at 11 am, but I wasn't gonna pass up Double Time. Either way, Im in my happy place and Im anxious to see how this evening plays out. Had deer cruising around my camera around 4:30pm yesterday, but I was in bed. Had deer around my camera this morning, but I was at work. Sometimes I just cant win for losing, but if its meant to be it'll be.

Hunted my backyard stand and one of th few times no deer. My neighbor was up before light and I think the deer bedded down. He was taking a walk. You never know what happens hunting in a suburb.

Almost shot another coyote this morning. Couldn’t get him to stop. Real pretty red with a black tail tip. Almost looked like a red fox.

Been set up about 30 mins in the same spot as last night. All the corn was eaten since yesterday evening. Don't know how much action we'll have as the neighbors are out doing yard work. Im up in a ladder stand with my compound and ryleigh is about 10 yards aways tucked under a low-lying tree.

That's true. See my last post. A couple of years ago I was watching a guy grill out while hunting. Last year I heard the school.bus screech to a halt so it wouldn't hit a deer that I later shot

Duff, Did you use up all your Bundle Tags? Man I don't know. I am so confused on when to use what tag... First question - were you in a “ Fish Reduction Zone”? Then we can talk license needs….

Well I stumbled upon my bolt that helped me harvest my doe. Lumenok is busted and missing a fletching but the broadhead appears to be just fine.

Well I guess I should've stood getting wet. While I was on my adventure of bolt hunting I had 1 heading right to me, but its raining here and i didn't bring any waterproof gear with me. I've already been sick with a virus (not THE virus) so Im not taking anything for granted.
