The private land upland hunting and pheasant area draws are posted. Counting those and the 6 deer hunts I applied for I went a WHOPPING 0-8! First time I can remember not drawing anything.

Anyone get drawn for Ft Harrison? I got drawn for Big Oaks but probably won't go. Didn't realize they require a hunting partner. Yes. My two buddies and I got drawn for early and late Ft Harrison.

I did that hunt a few years ago. I wouldn't worry about waiting until the designated time to go to your stand. I did that and someone was climbing a tree before I even left the road.

On the Early hunt one buddy missed twice, I missed once and then took a small buck; On the Late hunt two of us missed. So we got opportunities. I enjoy hunting Ft Harrison and will try again in the future.

I ended up taking a yearling that someone missed as it had a fresh gash across it's back in line with the shoulder.

This area has a ton of deer, it’s a reduction zone, and all of these townships keep buying everything up and making it off limits. Behind where I’m at, there is part of the Hamilton county deer reduction area that is deer paradise, and city of fishers bought it, made it a park, and banned all hunting. I’m sick of it.
