It's getting close. If memory serves, usually July 1st is when they are posted. Even though I have had limited success, I always look forward to them.

I don't know why I would want to drive all the way to Winslow to not get drawn to hunt what is possibly the hardest properties to bow hunt in the state (tern barr).
I don't know why they had to go and make that an in person draw.

Not sure where to apply for the park hunt at. Spring mill is closest, but I know not many get killed there. May try turkey run again. Did that one one other time.

At least that's how I figure it.

There's plenty of places I'd rather hunt. It's not a very scenic place in my opinion but hey it may hold some BIG deer you never know.

I have a better advantage than most as we fly directly over it en route to one of our area hospitals. I know how I would hunt it, and it's a high reward property, but it's a place where you could go weeks without seeing a deer.

Does anybody know what the private access hunts are? Never have seen them when signing up! I think its private land that's opted into management programs. Like a more managed BLM.

I don't know why I would want to drive all the way to Winslow to not get drawn to hunt what is possibly the hardest properties to bow hunt in the state (tern barr). I don't know why they had to go and make that an in person draw. [From DNR] Dear Hunter, The reserved deer hunt draw for Tern Bar Slough Wildlife Diversity Conservation Area (WDCA) is changing from an online draw to an in-person draw. We are contacting you because you have previously applied for this draw. The in-person draw will be July 31 at Sugar Ridge Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA) at 11 a.m. ET. There are 66 draw slots available. Hunters can find reserved deer draw dates for this opportunity here. Hunting will take place during the regular deer archery and muzzleloader seasons only. Legal archery equipment may be used during archery and muzzleloader seasons. Legal muzzleloading equipment may be used only during muzzleloader season. If drawn, you may bring one non-hunting observer or assistant, who must remain close to you at all times. A valid deer hunting license is required to register for the draw. Bonus antlerless permits may be used on this property. More information can be found online. If you have any questions, please contact the Sugar Ridge FWA office 812-789-2724 or SugarRidgeFWA@dnr.IN.gov. We hope to see you at the draw! Indiana Division of Fish & Wildlife
