Anybody use them? If I can get the barrel finished in time I will be using them in my 3" 1100. I need to look to see what they sent, either 7 or 7.5 shot.

I know they don't need a lot of constriction, one of the guys who I hunt with shoots them and he just uses a Carlson extended full. I watched him snipe a nice long beard at about 35-40 yards last year.

I have Browning Gold Invector Plus 26 inch barrel (I believe) choke is .655 Great way to save time and money is to check out Gobbler Nation. They have a section for almost every 12 G ever made with people sharing great info. oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php

I'm getting a 3" 1100 barrel that I will have shortened and threaded for Browning Invector Plus choke tubes, I have 2 of every size of Briley extended choke tubes for the Invector Plus tubes. Plus some not made by Briley.

Used them for the first time last year. Love them, I still have 3 shells from my box of 5. I used one to check the zero and one to kill my tom I might buy another box of 5 just to have a few extra but I don’t plan on running out too soon.

Don't bet on it. Get them while you can, I have a feeling once the stores inventory is depleted it won't be replenished this year. When I was in Cabelas in Hammond last weekend the only shotgun shells they had were TSS from Browning, and I doubt there were 2 cases of those shells total of all gauges and lengths in the store. I talked to the guys at Apex a month ago and they said to buy any shot that I wanted back then because once it was sold out, they wouldn't get any inventory until 2022. So I have 2# of 7.5's to play with.

Update:
The 1100 barrel I bought can't be threaded for the Browning Invector Plus choke tubes, it's too thin or rather the OD isn't large enough, even when cutting down from 30" to 20"-24". So I went with a barrel that bullseye69 had threaded for Remchokes. I finally got all the components ordered to roll my own TSS 3" shells, I had 5-6 3" Federal hulls from bullseye, but didn't have the mylar wrap and cork/felt 20 ga wads that went inside the plastic wad. Ballistic Products finally had some in inventory and when I checked, they had new primed 3" Federal Hulls too, so I ordered 100 of them as well (the minimum).
The Indian Creek Choke Tube is here now, and I have the red-dot that is going on the 3" 1100 Receiver, so things are falling into place. Had the powder, so just waiting for the components to show up and I will get to loading a few (Roll Crimp) and testing them.

If you need any TSS let me know I can give you the name of the guy I get mine from. You order shot from him he also shares his recipes for his loads. He recently opened up a TSS shell company called TSS Shot. I have never had any issues getting it from him. Ordered 10lbs last summer.

I talked to the guy in Argos, and he gave me a phone number to call. I did, ordered it from him and he sent it, IIRC it was around $45/lb. IIRC it was shipped from SC? He sent 3 recipes and included 10 wads in the box of shot. I got #7.5 shot, the smallest that is legal in IN. Same guy or different?

I had an email today from Precision Reloading saying that the components shipped. So, that means I might be throwing some TSS at a pattern board this upcoming weekend.

I picked up a few boxes of the apex 3” #9’s to try this season hoping the rule change would go through. If loading pictures wasn’t a pain, I would load them up. At 40 yards I counted 667 hits in a 24” circle. Just insane pattern. This is out of a super x2 with an Indian creek tube. .665 constriction. No turkey can escape that mess of shot. 15 yards and the pattern was a baseball. Kicker is that most I have shot are 15-20.

If the bird is close you better know exactly where the pattern hits relative to your point of aim. I will have a red dot on the shotgun to help with that.

Totally agree on the downside of close shots.
When I decided to make this a turkey only gun I invested in a Truglo magnum gobble dot which is basically some good fiber optic rifle sights. Took me darn near a box of cheap target loads to get it dialed in. Then a few more of the hunting loads to completely get it hitting dead on. I tried to avoid batteries, but am warming up to some of the vortex and Burris options.
