Funny how much the difference is between north and south. Spawn is pretty much over in my ponds. Yes, very interesting. I fished two ponds in Dubois Co. and one in Floyd last weekend. The bluegill were full of eggs and nowhere near the beds. No cicadas around here yet either, at least not that I have seen or heard. I'm heading out to do some bank fishing at daylight. It pains me to leave the boat in the garage, but sometimes it's just not worth the hassle. I hope to have a basket full before the heat sets in. I'm also anxious to use my new Bubba cordless knife. Break er in. Took me about 12 to get used to an electric knife. 1st 1 or 2 were ugly. If you cut through the spine flip the fish so you cut the fillet from tail to head. Saved the day for me

Went fishing in the pond yesterday, Bluegills are carrying eggs and the bass are cruising the shallows. I would say that with this warm spell it should be on fire next week if it doesn't cool down to much. They have tore up my beach and shallow areas looks like this week here also when I was down feeding them they are right on top of the beds

Saved the day for me Went to a pond that needs to be fished and got there before daylight. I farted around and swatted bugs until 7:00 with only one keeper. Packed up and went to another hole a few miles away. Caught 18 keepers in about an hour. I threw all of the obviously pregnant females back. The Bubba cordless is the real deal. Much better than the Mr. Twister. May have something to do with the thinner blades. I used the 9” flex blade. Money well spent.

Was out on Monroe today and didn’t even get a bite. Lake got pretty busy in the afternoon, so we called it a day about 3:15.

Getting rained on right now at Port of Indiana on Lake Michigan. DNR report says skamania are in along with some coho. Only a couple guys here, all said they havent seen any fish caught Sat or today.
Hmmmm, great report as usual. Wonder who they get their input from? Good way to sell licenses I guess. Lol

Left the house at 6:30 this morning and was back home by 8:30 with 14 nice bluegill.
No cicadas here yet. I've seen the perfectly bored holes start to appear, but no sights or sounds.

Daphne and I went out yesterday afternoon and did pretty good. We caught quite a bit. We only brought home 5 crappie between 13"-14". I thought, or hoped rather, that the fillets would have been bigger.
