They are calling this a pistol but referring the what is normally called a brace a stock? I have never fooled with one but can the brace be used like a stock? I know that may make a SBR, just asking for a friend.

It could if he wanted to but I know your friend wouldn't.

No, a brace can't be used as a stock, if it is, then it's a whole different set of registration paperwork.

11" something barrel length with a 1:7 twist rate. I have a Daniel Defense AR15 with an 18" long barrel and it's got a 1:7 twist rate. The faster twist rate is made for heavier/longer bullets. I shoot the 62 grain M855 bullets and the 1:7 twist with 18" barrel shoots them well. When I shot the 55 gr bullets my gun didn't shoot them as well as they were spinning too fast and caused them to be less accurate. I'm not sure how a 11" barrel will shoot with that fast twist rate. I'd talk with some people that have one already and see what ammo they like to shoot. The secs said it shooting 5.56/223 which is a good thing. Some 223 guns won't handle the 5.56. But a gun that shoots 5.56 will handle the .223 ammo. So that's a good thing. Having such a short barrel to me means you want it for something like home defense and are not going to be shooting it long range for hunting. The longer the barrel the more power it has and the faster the bullet comes out of the end of the barrel. Like someone said. It's a pistol not a rifle. Sig has a good reputation in hand guns from what I've read. The price seems good to me. I paid a lot more for my Ambush Firearms Daniel Defense AR15 at Buck and Jakes and it went on sale when I bought it. It dropped from 1750 down to 1300.

OK.. I flip flopped. I originally went in RK to see if they had any Sig Sauer P365s. My grandson bought one and really liked it. It is a10 Mag, 1 chamber 9MM in hand sized. That’s 4 more than either of my carry guns. But I saw the AR 15.. after figuring up all the costs on it I went back to the P365. I have plenty of guns in the house that would be a major deterrent. I might get a magazine extension for my old 870. Anywho I went back today and bought the Sig Sauer P365 SAS. I might have screwed up on the SAS. When I looked at the sight in the store o thought it was just a red dot-as an aiming point. I get home and read on it and the red dot is supposed to be centered in a circle. Looking at it now I can see if one just uses the dot and doesn’t center it in the circle ⭕️ you can be off considerably at 20 yards. My macular degeneration makes that circle into a lopsided egg shape. Not good. I’m thinking I might have to go to a laser sight like this. www.ebay.com/itm/Sig-Sauer-P365-Laser-Red-Trigger-Guard-Laser-Lima365-365-SOL36501/143565095081?epid=2301695688&hash=item216d2580a9:g:Ad8AAOSwF~xfEa2g

Woody I put a Veridan Laser on my LCP. Where the dot goes so does the bullet. That is if it shows up. Indoors no problem, low light no problem, but outdoors in bright sun it disappears. I am told the green lasers are better in sunlight. I have no experience with them.

Woody, my Dad had macular degeneration. When I set up the AR that I bought for him, I had him try a red laser and a green laser. He could see the green laser easier. I put a streamlight laser and flashlight on the rifle, it is operated with a pressure switch on the broomhandle front grip. It can be just a flashlight, just a laser or both at once. Even with the flashlight on you can see the laser in the center of it.
I did the pressure switch because it was one less thing that he had to think about. Grab the broomhandle, and the flashlight turned on. No thinking required.

Got it on and it works decent. Casting the beam on something real light colored like my den wall it is barely discernible. Darker colors no problem. It worked decent in sunlight, again if the surface I’m spotting it on is not light colored. It will take some getting my used to as it is grip Activated. .

Now to get a holster for carry.
Leaning towards the Sneaky Pete but I’m thinking that might be pretty good sized to be on my hip?

Woody, make sure that the holster is designed to work with the laser.
