I've been to a couple grocery stores in the past 2 days - everybody is cleaned out of flour. Yeah I stopped by on my way home yesterday for the wife. Shes wanting to make some homemade bread, but 3 different stores were out.

The wife and I went to the largest Kroger in New Albany this morning. They had plenty of everything, including ground beef, flour and TP. However, the check-out lines were almost unbearable. That was at 8:00. Kroger claims that it's regional distribution warehouse is stocked to "maximum capacity" and will be shipping stock to stores as needed.
I went out earlier to do a little work and top off my truck with diesel. The Jay-C across from the gas station had people lined up to get in when the store opened at 7:00.
This was a unique day considering that I spent time with (both customers) a National Guard Sargent and a Police Officer. I asked them both about the potential for a shelter-in-place situation. The Guardsman did hid best to not answer my question, but said to expect it. The Police Officer said that his department had not been given any information, but to expect it. He also said that his department is responding to violent crimes and injury accidents only.

I had to run into Amish country today on another errand so I stopped at a store there. Got the flour, powdered evaporated milk, and the canning jars/spices I was looking for. I'm set now.

In little old Ohio co we went this morning around 1030am to the store. Lots of supplies. Meat cutters were sending out meat and there was toilet paper on the shelves. In fact, I didn’t see one cart or person with any toilet paper to checkout. Guess we don’t hoard down here and leave stuff for others if we don’t need it. The song Country Boy Can Survive comes to mind. Sure glad I don’t live in the city. If I run out of toilet paper and paper towels and napkins there is always old news papers. And as a last resort I can use leaves from the yard. Ouch that hurts just thinking about it. I sure hope they don't run out of Preperation H.

Can’t believe we have search for toilet paper. You would think the hoarders would have enough by now. no kidding. I saw where the police caught and arrested some people who stole a whole truck load of Toilet Paper. What the H is wrong with people. There would be plenty to go around if people didn't get so dam greedy and take more than they can possibly ue in a month. Stupid people me off. I have a two packages of toilet paper with about 6 rolls per package. That is my normal amount that I keep on hand all the time. Don't want to be doing my business and suddenly remember that I have to run to the store to buy some more TP.

I think that our President should force some companies in the USA to start producing toilet paper, paper towels, and napkins for the public. Maybe GM can start making those things along side producing automobiles. Or maybe the President can force GE to start making tp. We have a shortage of paper products and N-95 masks for our hospital workers and first responders like EMTs, paramedics, helicopter flight nurses and nursing home stafff. We need to ramp up more production or start shooting horders.

I read that the delivery of that toilet paper was legal, but that the trailer had been stolen, I guess while empty. Supposedly the police even made sure the drlivery was made.

Evansville, IN and Henderson KY have their first confirmed cases of this COVID-19 disease. We have some drive through testing facilities now. But they are short on tests and only testing people that have symptoms and have recently be to areas that have the virus or in contact with someone who was tested positive for the virus. Trouble is that no one has been tested so we don't have any real positive cases here until now. But the Mayor was going around staying that we don't have any CONFIRMED POSITIVE cases which is totally meaningless unless you test people. So now we have a person from Henderson, KY that tested positive for the novel coronavirus. They are back in their home in Henderson, KY under self-quarantine. I hope that they don't go roaming about as no one is really forcing them to stay at home.

So someone stole a truck to make a legal delivery of legal toliet paper. LOL. That's wierd. I guess someone was desparate to make some money delivering toilet paper somewhere. Do you remember that show on TV where people would bid on shipping things around the country. Shipping Wars. Maybe some grocery store hired them to deliver some TP to the store and the shippers needed a delivery truck/trailer badly and went out and stole one to make the delivery? who knows why?

I bought a hog from a friend about 1 month ago. He took it to butcher 10 days ago. I called and got smoked meats so it was not ready until yesterday. We got to the butcher in Celestine around 11AM and had to stand in line. It was quite amazing the number of people in the tiny shop.

It was pretty well stocked, even WITH toilet paper. Got all our weekly shopping done there, minus meat, which we got at another local store. Prices were a little more than Walmart, but they were a thousand times more friendly, AND bagged our groceries for us. So we may be frequenting them more often.

Almost forgot... My boy and I got escorted out of East Side Market in Michigan City yesterday. We walked in, grabbed a cart, got down one aisle and a guy ran us down and said one of you have to go outside immediately. "We have a one person per family rule in this time of crisis". I said wth, I am not leaving my 9yo outside. He said out now! I said that is STUPID, and I will NEVER come back. Nothing like that anywhere else we have been.

We`ve had angry people at the hospital too. Some are angry they`re being ecreened, others are about ready to fight because they may not escort their friend or family inside the hospital for whatever test or procedure they`re going for. People are all right on the edge of going off.
