It turns out Trumps lawyer Cipollone was in the room for the calls. That means defense counsel is a fact witness. Any Judge in the country would declare a mistrial. And concealing evidence? The Republicans are supposed to be the honest and honorable people. They are shaming the conservative movement with this behavior. Supposed to be better than that.

So now that the outcome is assured, William Barr admits that the Justice Dept. has been sitting on dozens of e-mails from Administration officials about the issue. What will it take to wake people up? You cant make this stuff up! In November, one of two things will happen. Trump will win, in which case you will soon see discussion about removing the 2-term limit. Or, Trump will lose, but fight it. People, we are being led down the road to tyranny, by the man who points at others and accuses them of it. Is it too late for another Republican candidate? One that is capable of leading? Please! Tuesday, when he crows about the great economy, take the time to look up the actual numbers. The last three years have actually seen a dramatic slowdown in growth. There is no hiding it, but you have to check for yourself. What has grown is the deficit and the debt, at unprecedented rates. How was the crow calling? Hope it met your expectations! Trump 2020...

A very sick man. He actually said he is protecting those with pre- existing conditions.

A politician speaking the truth has been a rare accident to witness for a long time.
Some of us with white beards recall Saint John the Kennedy telling the adoring crowd gathered on the campus during the 1960 campaign that the national debt didn't matter, since we only owed it to ourselves. They cheered wildly, too.
During his successor's election campaign four years later he promised to "let the Asian boys fight the Asian War" in "Veet Nam". Didn't work out that way.
I don't recall any examples from the Carter years, but I'd pretty much quit listening to them by that time. He may have been more honest, but seemed to be a nice man in a job that was not well suited for nice men.
And the examples of lying politicians came more often afterwards, and more predictably, until it shouldn't surprise anyone anymore.
I did watch most of the SOTU show before tuning it out and putting on my headphones to watch more u-tube vids on the 'puter. I missed the snubbed offer of a handshake at the beginning and the ripped copy of the document at the end, but caught them both in replays. Didn't see any replays of either actually flipping buggers at the other. Not sure if that was due to some remaining trace of decorum by the stars or to inadequate coverage of the live action.
The Super Bowl show was better.

Hopefully Romney nailed all the nails in the lid of his coffin today. I wonder if the GOP will not back him in the next election?

Unpopular opinion.
Nobody that voted today will ever see another vote from me. Nobody involved in this sideshow and party line voting deserves to hold office.

Finally finished after 3 years of waste and cost to us. I read that Nancy's approval is down to 27%. Even Democrats are 50 50.
