Lots of sorting this morning, ended up keeping 12 pumpkin's, 3 perch, and a big rockbass. Rockbass were stacked in there, must have caught 50 jumbo's, I kept one to try but have never ate one before. I did bleed him to see if that helps.

You deep fry that Rock Bass like you do the Bluegills you won't know the difference.
And after about 3 beers it will all taste great.

My daughter is itching to get out and fish some....I hope to find a few crappie in a farm pond this weekend since the weather is supposed to warm up some..... Hopefully do some habitat work Saturday and then catch a few fish Sunday. Glad to see you all have been having some luck so I remain hopeful.

How do you post a video on here I have one from up north I’d like to post on the fishing thread You will probably have to post it to youtube and then post the link here. I doubt you can post the video directly here do to file size issues.

Trout fishing was slow, only marked a few fish for the day. Ice is good, still 30 plus.

I was at my brothers place today to fish, but we spent most of the day walking his woods looking for sheds.

Good day on the ice with Brian and brother Rick. This is a 36" auger, about 6 inches from going through.

Went out at daylight by myself and picked up a few perch, came home and met up with Brian, brother Rick, nephew Ricky and went looking for crappie. Got our 40 fish limit but Brian got 21 of those by himself. Brian used a small Rippin Rap, rest of us used small tungsten jigs tipped with minnow. Taking tomorrow off to have a big fish fry for the family so we can start fishing again. Want to hit Leach Lake Thursday for whitefish to smoke.
