Wow very jealous. Havent even got a line wet this year yet Dont be to jealous, Best fishing is end of May, month of June. I wont wet a line after the ice is off until next Feb. I'm hooked on training retrievers and dont even think about fishing all summer.

Late report. Went out Sunday to my favorite farm pond. The wind was terrible, but tolerable. I caught 12 bass and seven crappie. All on various jig types and colors. My buddy fumbled around with his fly rod and landed two bass and one each of red ear and bluegill. I begged him to use one of my spinning rigs, but he's a snob and refused. Met up later with the families and had fish and homemade fries. All of the bass were around 12 inches and desperately need to be eradicated from this pond. I'd have much rather caught all panfish. In my opinion, bass fillets are great for baking, but too thick for frying.

They just don't taste quite as good with plain yellow cornmeal as the crappie and bluegills do.

A fellow once asked a Lake Erie fisherman about all the Walleye he was putting away making a smart arse comment like I bet your freezer has got to be full. The fisherman replied "your right I just ordered a second and and even larger freezer".
My wife and I eat a lot of fish and if I was better fisherman we would be eating even more.

I just sent some down to Indiana to properly owners that let me hunt, friends and family here and in Indiana. I donate to a couple retriever clubs, and beagle clubs. Don’t worry they all get ate and I NEVER have more than legally allowed on my premises. We also release way more than are kept.

That's a heck of a haul on the Pumpkinseeds!!!! I really would like to find a place where I could get a bunch, to start a pond with only them in there. I have people calling to buy them for stocking their ponds and I can't find a supplier.

My boss and some friends did a walleye charter on the Saginaw River on Monday. Four guys caught 38 fish total, including carp and catfish. Biggest walleye was 7#. They jigged with soft plastics exclusively.

Was headed north Friday not sure now if we’re going with all this going on I’m halfway scared I’ll be up there and not be able to get in or worst have to spend 14 days in quarantine when I come back so much is happening every day if not hourly
My odds of catching the virus up north are far less than here I would not see anybody other than Steve and maybe his kid he wants to go but he’s not sure about his work schedule yet

Last I heard there was one case in Lac Du Flambeau, Wi. I'm guessing it was from someone tha tvisited the casino as that place sees a lot of out-of-town visitors.
I feel safer out in the sticks vs. being in a town/city near people.
On a fishing (sort of) note, I heard that a yellow perch producer in Ohio found a dead female in his brood pond that was 18.5" long. I wish I had a picture!! That's the biggest Yellow Perch that I've heard of. I have a picture of a 16.5" fish that a friend caught out of his pond, but since it came from a "managed" farm pond the INDNR wouldn't validate it for a state record.

Was on the ice until 1am this morning fishing for eelpout. Lots of fun with Brian catching the poor mans lobster. Drive home was a little slippery with freezing rain followed by two inches of snow.
