Hit Brookville yesterday w my oldest daughter and my niece. Pitched 1/2 crawler on a white 1/16 oz lead head on the banks. Took 2 walleye: 14.5 and 19 inches home and 8 channel cats up to 22 inches. Also caught 10 smallmouth, 3 largemouth, 4 more short eyes, bluegill and a green sunfish. Id hate to say how many we missed or lost. Was a pretty good 3 hours

We needed up doing some fishing after we ran the boat around Monroe for a bit. Wasn’t expecting much just chilling in a cove. I was sitting on a life jacket in the water just casting out a night crawler. I ended up catching nine fish and my wife caught one. Both her and I caught a pair of really nice channel cats. She was first, but wasn’t expecting much so we didn’t keep it. Therefore mine was let go as well. Was a blast catching those fish while being in the water with them.

Tried out the new-to-me rona ranger on brookville today Howd you do? We are heading over in the morning. Went again Monday and kept 8 big channels, 3 big bluegill, and a crappie. Daughter caught a stud smallie. All came on jigs and crawlers again.

we didn't fish today, got really choppy as soon as we got there. My client I bought the boat from caught a couple decent smallies a week ago before we hung it up. I want one of those big ones! I'm going to get more serious about it if I can find time away from my business. That's cool your daughter caught a nice one, that is a heck of a fight!

One of those rare evenings fishing. Found a cove packed full of gills while watering my apple tree. Couldn’t resist red worms on a slip bobber. Barely got my hand around this hog.

Headed out back behind my house to the ditch I've been wanting to wade for years. I bought some new lures that I'm excited to try out. Lunkerhunt Fetch.
Since I'm ditch fishing, I have been told that you should "clean the fish out" for a few days before filleting them. IDK. I guess keep them in my live well to let any impurities get washed out. I hadn't researched it and the fella telling me couldn't really articulate why. But, that's putting the cart before the horse. I gotta catch something first.
We just, not really sure when, had a little rain shower move through so I hope the fish are hungry.

Kinda cool and with a North wind things might be a little tough.
Don't worry about purging your fish just clean and eat..........in moderation.

Things were definitely tough. Water was deeper than I thought. I opted to just west rubber boots instead on my chest waders. That was a mistake. Next time I'll know better. Cool little find out there where a tiny ditch connects. I still enjoyed myself. Now, it's off to building shelves for the converted spare bedroom closet into a pantry.

Ended up with 26 today off the back of our ski boat. Quite a few channel cats, bluegills, one bass, and a couple other species. Great day on the water.

The boy wanted to go out this morning so I obliged. Left before 6, but failed to find any bait shops or stores opened to get live bait. Threw our normal 1/16 oz jig and various colored grubs for crappie and a small Popeye under a float tipped with pink crappie nibbles for bluegill. Caught 6 crappie and mayne 50 big male gills. Took a small mess to a guy from church who hasn't gotten out much this year. Bluegill were definitely spawning, which I thought funny. I caught them on the nest 2 weeks ago

We been trying for salmon and trout this year on Lake Michigan and not having too much luck. My boy wants quantity fishing, and I want quality. We are both suffering. Lol. My wife and MIL take him during the week for bluegill when I am at work at least.

I want both 😀 but I’m spoiled when it comes to fishing honestly if you want quality up north you’re going to work for it if it’s easy to get a boat on the lake it’s being fished either by local or guys like me you can still catch good fish but not in great numbers most days Lot of us buy cheep boats and drag them back to lakes behind sleds over winter they pull easy over snow and leave them than ride quads back in the summer to fish you just roll them over and chain them to a tree the odds of being stolen are slim but being used high

I've been fishing Indian Creek a little here and there by my new place. Just caught a very few small largemouths so far. I need to try some live bait on the bottom for cats.
It seems like there's more gar and carp in there than anything.
